Every game has to have a 'bad guy(s)', right? From my personal point of view, it's pretty obvious that's what they crafted Caesar's Legion to be, in the game. I know others disagree, and am just curious whom everyone considers to be the bad guys. I'm primarily interested in the faceoff between the NCR and Legion, in this poll- I just added House for fairness, though I doubt very many would consider him to be the major villain of the game, per se... but of course I could be wrong. I left out the Yes Man option, because *that's you*, silly. You can't be the bad guy, sorry! :biggrin:

None, it all comes down to personal perspective. Anything else is a lie.

That's why I asked for your personal opinion, Swag. Not like a poll is going to settle or 'prove' anything, it's just for fun and for conversation. The point of it was to ask if people thought of any of the primary factions in the game as 'The Bad Guys™'. If most don't, that in itself would be rather interesting.

Powder Gangers are missing from the poll and considering the fact they're almost universally convicted felons (with only one giving a plausible "But I'm innocent!" story) I'd say they're a candidate for the true "Bad Guy" faction. Maybe not "Main campaign bad guy" quality but they certainly affect enough territory to get a nod.

Oh yes. Excellent point, I didn't think of that. Hell I'm sad I didn't think of the Fiends or even the Khans before the Powder Gangers. :facepalm:

I think it would be the legion, but I'm sure a ton of people will argue this. They are to ones who have slaves and are more or less ruthless depending on who's in charge. Also they want to take over the dam through war, NCR are defending it. But then I guess you could argue house wants the dam to so he was waging war against both sides, meh idk.

I guess what I was really after, was not so much a clinical weighing of each faction's good points, bad points, motivations, comparative atrocities or good deeds, or any of that- I'm just asking for each player's gut feeling/opinion of whether or not they thought of any particular faction as being 'the bad guys'. Doesn't have to be reasonable, or even have a reason- just how ya feel.
