There is NO FIX for the flickering in CROSSFIRE

Post » Sun Jan 30, 2011 9:59 pm

Hey guys,

I tried a lot of CROSSFIRE "fixes"

... and sometimes it looks like it works (no flickering) , BUT

either the scaling is very very bad (min fps remains the same, average fps about 10% more)
or the scaling is ZERO because crossfire has been disabled in the process.

To the guys, who have solved it , I ask you to look at your framerates (google fraps if you dont know how) and compare compare frames with and without crossfire (you can disable crossfire in radeon pro!) AND also to look at the image quality (anti aliasing, grainy sky) with and without crossfire

DO you have at least 50% more framerates? Post your framerates please
DO you have the same picture quality ?

thanks!

--- all solutions i know of:

- rename to rift.exe or bioshock.exe - simply doesnt work for me
- apply crossfire profile in radeon pro - SOMETIMES it works (only with Bioshock profile and MVPU Mode - standard) , framerate is about the same, though , very bad scaling.
- changing brightness - doesn't work.
- windowed mode - disables crossfire!
- disable catalyst ai - disables crossfire!

Try the FEAR profile in RadeonPro - That's working great for me now. Getting 80fps+ on EXTREME + anti-aliasing and it sooooo pretty.
