No he's talking about a Lightning equivalent to the flamethrower spell we've seen. Not holding it to charge, just holding it and have it shoot out like a spray or stream.

He dosnt actually mix or combine them, he used a different spell for each hand and just held both triggers. It doesn't combine the spells but he said it was so amazing and powerful that it looked like one big powerful stream spell.

I thought the OP was going to ask if the spells would cancel each other out. Would be awesome if you could put out a fire with an icy blast, or thaw a frozen npc with a flame thrower... or undo those ground hexes with an opposing element cast on it.

I am kind of worried about how many of our spells are getting eaten up by different elemental variants of the same spell. I hope the 85+ is a big + and or things like that is considered one spell not 3.

Completely different spells there bud. Flamethrower and the Ice spell are both short length spells that are held down to use. Chain Lightning is 'thrown" when cast.

Considering Beth has always adhered to the self, touch and target style of spellcasting, I would assume the chain lightning thing is lightning target and the 'sith lightning' as you put it is the lightning on touch spell. Real question is can you put the target in one and and the touch on the other for a real lightning show?
