Is there going to be a patch for the lagging going on in the

Post » Mon Sep 28, 2009 6:12 pm

It's not just the gaming community. You should have seen the backlash from the firearms daycare errr community over the Bushmsater ACR being released at a higher than expected price and by a licensed manufacturer and not the original designer. I've never seen more grown men act like a bunch of whiny little [censored]es in my entire life.

Oh and it's framerate drop, low FPS, slowdown, or choppiness, NOT LAG people!

Yep, just went through the same thing with a cell phone I just bought that was released with some issues. You could honestly transplant most of the posts here with those and just change the name of the phone to New Vegas...you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. :P In the electronics and software industry there are always people that experience issues with a product release, and they're usually in the forums threatening to sue and vowing to never buy a product by company X again.

It stinks that things end up being released with bugs and I don't at all agree with it, but it happens every day, literally.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be reassuring to some customers. Have you ever been in a game forum wherein the developers chime in about individual bugs they're aware of and what they're doing about it? The only company I've seen do this is Bioware, and even there it's a rarity. It's just something that most software companies have rules against because it can do more harm than good.

I get what your saying but locking and erasing posts and not HELPING until the community has released fixes and still staying "mum" on the (shhhhh) patch issue while making statements to Kotaku about patch status is not really the way I would handle it. I see where you're coming from, I just wouldn't handle it the way they have here.

It's because publishers give them deadlines, and if they haven't finished fixing all of the bugs they are usually contractually obligated to the publisher to release on the agreed-upon date anyway.

Xbox version is frame limited to 30fps. Playable, but not smooth. Not when you have a modern card at least

In case you haven't seen this, they've officially acknowledged the bugs an have stated that they're working on getting a patch out ASAP....
