I know there won't be vehicles, but I still think it'd be cool if we could ride a camel. To quote Fat Mike from NOFX, "You can't go to the desert and not ride a camel".

You mean: "Are there going to be vehicles?"
"Is" doesn't work that way.

It's been said before. No, there won't be.
Anyone else think a big, blatant, up to date, FAQ stickied at the top would be great?

Pinning a thread automatically makes it invisible to most posters.

If you don't like to see threads on a certain topic, why bother to respond? If you believe a thread has a problem, use the report button. Flaming or harassing people for posting will probably end up in a warning and posting ability suspension. It is a lot easier and safer to simply ignore threads you don't want to read.

Yes, there will be vehicles.
Yes, they will all be destroyed.
No, you can't drive them.

You could check the wiki before making false claims about what's listed:
Barter
Energy Weapons
Explosives
Gambling
Guns
Lockpick
Medicine
Melee
Repair
Science
Sneak
Speech
Survival
Unarmed
Direct from http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout:_New_Vegas_skills on the wiki.

Vehicles have always been hard to do in Fallout.
The one in fallout 2 was in essence a static with a container and a map marker which shortened time in fast travel and ate batterys.
Some of the best mods I have seen for vehicles were done by J3X for Fallout 3.

Are you sure you're not looking up the Fallout Tactics skill list, which had pilot if I remember correctly.

And 4 years from now people will STILL be asking "How do I get a vehicle?" "I thought there was vehicles in New Vegas???" "I found a car how do I use it?"

Yep, Fallout Tactics is the only released Fallout-based computer game with that skill. Van Buren also had it, and it's in J.E. Sawyer's Fallout Role-Playing Game as well; Van Buren would have been called Fallout 3 if it had been released, and J.E. Sawyer's Fallout Role-Playing Game is a tabletop RPG rather than a computer game.

It's been confirmed that there will be no cars

People have answered the OPs question

Now please, LET THIS THREAD DIE. I know you all like to squabble like angry chickens, but this thread is useless now.

Maybe the thread should be locked; then again, maybe it shouldn't. If you want it to die, then perhaps posting to it is not the best way to achieve that end. As far as I'm concerned, as long as people have something civil to say on the subject, it can stay active; and when the civility ends without the posts ceasing, then the mods can step in and close it.

Eh, you have a point, but lately, I've seen a trend in 'Op asks a question. Question is answered. Someone starts a discussion. Discussion soon turns to heated debate' And I'm pretty sure the Power Armor thread is a pristine example of that xDD

But yeah, its not the thread I dislike, its just im pretty sure bickering will soon follow over why we should and should not have cars.....again.

I think we should have cars... When they change the engine so it supports them without making 'em feel clunky like the horses in Oblivion...

I'm sure that's a high priority for the engine they're going to make for FO4 and/or TES V, I suspect they'll have similar engines like TES IV and Fallout 3 do, or even virtually identical engines like Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, though there would need to be a lot of functions in the engine that would be unused in one or the other of the games.

If the car is as trivial as the horse in Oblivion, sure, why not. :P

If they do add vehicles in the future, I'd want them to be limited and without the GTA roadkill aspects.
