If there's a jet pack, then is climbing a thing?

If a man can fly, then can a man climb? If we have a true open world where we can do anything, then yes. Players without power armour (The poor, the sneaky, those who just don't like it...) need a way to get into those advantageous spots and hiding places. But climbing as a mechanic isn't terribly easy to do. any confirmation

(also; Minor note. The lack of unarmed fighting shown is sad. That woman in the ring used a weapon. It's cheating! One day we will get good punching animations. One day...)

Wasn't it Todd Howard who said some years ago, around Fallout 3 I think, that their engine doesn't do well with climbing mechanics? Maybe that's changed, but jumping might be as close as we come to climbing in F4.

I doubt there is assassins creed style climbing if that's what you mean or even basic climbing. How ever they could have implemented ladders and possibly more paths in order to get to vantage points, either one of those i would be fine with.

I'm sure was the ai navigating ladders. In fallout 3/NV you can "climb" (there is vertical motion when you walk straight forward into certain things like Daggerfall) the back of intact buses to the top and the front of some trucks a bit.

I have said this in another thread, but what we witnessed was a really crippled version of "flying" since it appears to be tied to a rapid depletion of Action Points. Flight time is going to be extremely limited.

If climbing is an option, it wasn't mentioned. But I have to say, it would be surprising if what we saw in the E3 Fallout 4 rollout was the whole game.

As for the cheating, that would depend on the rules of the arena. What can be said about it is that she is alive to be called a cheater. What can be said about her opponent is he is dead and was extremely stupid to step into that cage against someone with a weapon, whether it is allow or not. So we have alive and a cheater, and dead and stupid.
