Battlespire is awesome, if you can play it Dosbox which i heard is hard to achieve. You need to download a patch to enable software rendering mode i believe.

Check this page for a small spoiler. It shows screens of the dialogs and the first level of the Battlespire ship.

Battlespire works pretty swell on .75, has worked fine since .70 - it only has Software rendering mode. I played through the entire game on a AMD 3100+, your CPU is the most important aspect. Love the game.

Battlespire was the first TES game I played and I love it!

It's the reason I still keep an old Windows '95 PC around.
Just don't expect it to be like Daggerfall or Morrowind...
