Is there an AI mod for Oblivion

Post » Fri Jun 17, 2011 1:39 am

The reason why i am asking is cuz i did not like the 2nd bandit reaction in the cave during the demo, so are there AI mods for Oblivion or a mod that improves the effectiveness or awareness just smt that will make the bandit react faster, if there is for Oblivion someone will probably make for Skyrim so does anyone knows that, so i can sleep quiet tonight :)

That was scripted to allow Todd to take out both without a fight, in order to show stealth mechanics properly.

It would seem unlikely. AI tends to be bloody complicated, and probably isnt set to be moddable. (apologies if im wrong!)

A blind person could see that. It was painfully apparent and I'm surprised you didn't catch that.

Also, the AI is integrated into the engine, so no, no mods. You could mod the AI packages, but that would do little.

I sure am proud of our community right now.

There are several mods available to give the game's AI better behavior for when the player is sneaking. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37385 is a good example here.

Couldn't have put it better.

Taking matters from another angle, you can increase the the number of "actors" (NPCs in a battle) who demonstrate combat AI instead of standing around like zombies during a battle by setting AI Max Active Actors in http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22368, which is an invaluable tool in many respects. The standard setting is 25, but it can be put as high as 100.
