I found one thread from over a year ago about it, but was unsatisfied with the responses (it quickly turned into a jump boost because of sneaking instead of a solution to jumping while sneaking). There's quite a bit of modding done today to Morrowind's scripting, what with Morrowind Graphics and Sound Overhaul and whatnot. Anyway, just wondering if anyone knows of a mod or has one that would allow jumping while sneaking. Seems like there would be.

I think it's likely hard coded and therefore impossible, unless the Code Patch found a way to force it.

But it should be possible with OpenMW, since at one time it was a bug they had to fix...

But that could also cause unforeseen problems.

That has nothing to do with scripting in the sense that you mean

I've brought this up before, basically the only way it would be plausible is if when pressing the jump button while sneaking the game forced you out of sneak mode and let you jump but used an invisibility effect or something so that if you were undetected you'd remain undetected.

Basically it's not possible in any way other than that so we'll have to wait for OpenMw for an Oblivion/Skyrim style solution. Fast movement (running toggle) while sneaking ala Skyrim and Oblivion would be nice too.
