Is there a scientific term for this?

Hey, I've been wondering if there's any word or term regarding these light effects in Crysis 2.

Thanks in advance.

yeah, that's called NewPhagsCan'tTriforce!

PS. in Crytek Sandbox Editor, it's called particle effects. ;)

I'm sorry but the 'NewPhagsCan'tTriforce' didn't bring up any google results. Are you sure you spelled it right? :(

Would that be a reduced form of glares?
I really have no idea, but that seems like the closest. (Haloes are also a possibility.)

Thanks for all the information I really appreciate it.

I'm calling it 'Crytek-Beams' from now on, but this is one hell of a good looking effect.
