There is this badass Orc dual wielding in the loading screen

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 3:11 pm

With the weapons just just chilling by his side, yet when my Nord dual wields, he looks like a [censored]ing crouching dragon hidden pansy.
Seriously, why didn't they use that animation? It looks so badass!!!
Who agrees that should be the animation for dual wielding while standing up, and the ninja animation for crouching/sneaking?
EDIT: I realise it won't be the animation fix, but i meant who thought it SHOULD HAVE been implemented like that.

I agree, the stance the character stands in now doesn't really bother me, but they could have chosen a better/cooler stance.

Agreed epic. He inspired me to make a dual wielding orc.

I like the existing DW stance. It's much more "come at me" than this one.

I totally agree. That Orc's stance just telegraphs that he's about to walk through you, no problem. So [censored] sick.

Is not a stance on Itself. It's a taunt animation. It's already ingame.

I don't like the current DW combat stance, my main character is supposed to be badass warrior but he fights like a flamboyant pansy, they should have made something where you can choose the stances, I like the stance on my Khajiit monk but it doesn't work on my Nord Vanguard.

Agreed.

The dual wield animation is [censored] horrible, and the sprinting animation is absolutely embarrassing. Luckily for PC gamers, there's a mod here that will change them to something more bearable http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=248. It's not quite as awesome as the orc loading screen, but it's something.

The worst part is that your left hand weapon doesn't appear on your character when sheathed.

Am I the only one who prefers the original animations except for the buggy turning?

Dual wielding stance reminds me of a certain character of an online game.

Is it possible for us to do the taunt animation?

I wasn't aware there was a way of taunting in the game.

Nope... not without mods.

Agreed. I could tolerate that in a mod that is modding DW into a game that doesn't have it. But releasing Skyrim with this seems pretty amateur hour.

That dual wielding stance must be the correct way of dual wielding in real life or something.

I've seen it used in several other games.

Thought so, bummer...

I thought I did it on the weekend by accident, but I'd had a bit to drink that night.

chow yun fat is cool, and has been in a lot of good movies (the killer, hard boiled, replacement killers) and i bet he could show silly smack talkin hicks who the pansy is. not a crouching tiger fan, but to rip on them for one artistic movie without appreciating that is just might not be for your crowd, is a true sign of idiocy and ignorance. plus youre probably a fat loser.

in first person the animations are fine though, but i will agree i dont like the spinning. more of a stable base guy myself rather than any spins so its just not my style. clearly the orc is just in a pose similar to the backdrop of these forums, not a combat stance.

picked up some skyrim themed drinks today. mead and jagermeister (has juniper berries - holla skyrim intro)

Orcs are bad to to the bone, and their racial skill this time around has helped me deal with many a dragon once they land.
