Hey all, new to this fallout game here. Just bought it off of steam and I was wondering if there was a unofficial patch like oblivion has. I thought I had seen one awhile ago when I was thinking about buying the game but like I said, it's been awhile since then. Another thing while I'm at it. Is there also a site that kinda holds your hand as far as what to install and install first, as far as mods go ? I mean, I can find the mods persay but like the managers and sorters ... if that makes any sense ? Sorry if this sounds a little helpless but I haven't fooled with anything like this sans the begining of Oblivion. Thanks Regardless .

There is an Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch by Quarn at the Nexus. The last update was about 18 months ago, though. I had no problems with it, but be careful with load order.

I have decided to just install the the UOF3 patch and go with that on my first play through, though all those mods on said web page are mighty tempting. I have succumbed to better judement. Thanks again both.

I haven't used the unofficial FO3 patch much. I heard a lot of people were having issues with it so I don't tend to use it, just to be safe. It seems to be a lot less essential than the Oblivion one.

Hmm, interesting. I'm in eight or so more hours with the UOF3 patch and not one crash so far, so I guess I'll leave well enough alone and maybe look into your comment next go around. That being said, I have one small complaint and that complaint is the flashlight (or there lack of). I think I might need to go to nexus and see whats available for a brighter one. Any suggestions ?
