There is an upside to attributes being gone

by now we know that we have more spell effects from Oblivion, I forget what the exact number is but I think skyrim had like 5 more, but with the drain attribute, damage attribute, and fortify attribute gone, we get 3 more spells than we thought we had

I'm not entirely sure if the original count of Oblivion's spell effects counted summons as a single spell type, or multiple spells. There are lots of arbitrary rules one must make for counting spell effects, especially when comparing them to a number thrown out like "85" (what they said the number of spells was in Skyrim). 85 what? Total? Are some combined?

At least it's not as bad as the "WHY R TERE NO SPEARS" threads that have spawned ever since Todd confirmed they wouldn't be in game.

But yes, I agree, let's talk about dem screenshots!

This. Even after trying to make a topic myself, I feel like they should just make a sticky on it and let us pvssyr about it until our heads fall off. :teehee:

On topic: GOOD POINT! I found all of those spells tend to make one's spell book bloated. Compression can be a good thing.

There should be an official attribute discussion thread like there is for multiplayer. Front page is cluttered with attribute and "Are they simplifying" threads".
