Is there a way to alter NPC levels?

Such as bandits as an example. Rather than creating 6 different stages of bandits, from the ones you meet at level one till the ones later in the game, is there a way to alter their levels by reading the players level? Rather than having to create hordes of bandits? I know it sounds a tad lazy, but I just realized how much work it's going to take just to make a overhaul bandit mod and I would think there be a shortcut to where it doesn't require multiple pages of bandits, and just utalize the ones already made just by matching the players level.

Yes, just set the player multiplier flag, and then the level adjusts with the player, instead of being fixed. The usual reason for a list of choices is to provide variety at each level, not to provide for the levels themselves. You're also likely to see leveled lists of equipment used with them, but there may also be extra templates to introduce new types of enemies, such as having pure melee or magic-users at low levels, and spellswords who use both at higher levels.

That's odd about the flag. You're talking under lists, right? Because when I do see this happen under vanilla, there have been some bandits that i overlevel stuck in the same level as before. Least in the original version.

Or are you referring to the multiplier under the bandit itself, where stats is at?
