So is there no way to continue?

I wasn't thinking when I was at the end of the game and I saved over all my saves that were before I fought the battle for Hoover dam with the NCR and now I can't continue, I'm only level 23 and decided I was gonna play through Dead Money after the main quest, but can't.

No, you can't continue. It was known for months before release about the hard ending. Obsidian wanted to have a real ending so they could tell a story and have all the multiple questlines. Hence the big pop up that says 'Point of No return' or something like that.

The press releases for Dead Money even say you reload a saved game from before the ending. And Obsidian have stated any times they WILL NOT release a DLC that allows play after the end.

Thanks for the fast answer, it will be a bit of a pain getting back to where I was but I got there in about a week, so no big deal.

If you are certain there are no saves from before you can't continue. I'd check to be safe, but otherwise there is nothing you can do except start a new character.

ALL your saves? Really? You needed to exhaust more than one save for the final 30 minutes of the game?

I thought it was fairly common knowledge that you wouldn't be able to continue seeing as how there's a bigass message that pops up and says that.

Sorry you lost your saves, but keep more back-ups and stagger them. Need to go back 2 hours because you broke a quest line (because the game is buggy/broken as hell)? You should have a backup for that time frame. Every hour at least, keep at least 10. Delete ones older than that, you're not going to want to replay much more than a few hours to fix stuff.

Most people play through more than once, anyway.
