Is there a way to keep the keyboard active with gamepad?

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 5:40 am

So when the Xbox 360 controller is active (PC), it automatically disables the keyboard, so obviously console commands cant be put in, which is annoying... :brokencomputer:

So is there a way (Short of using Xpadder) to keep the keyboard active, when a gamepad is in use? It must be possible some way, by changing files or something?

Any ideas?

I have a Xbox controller for the pc plugged in and I can still use the keyboard. I only use the Xbox controller for car racing games like Grid.

i can use both at the same time too. i play at the family TV using a controller, but w/ an old keyboard sitting next to me, hooked up w/ really long USB cords. lol.

strangely i can't get Xpadder to work w/ Vegas. it's worked fine for lotsa games including FO3, but not here. it's like the default ingame 360 controls overwrite my xpadder customs.

I use a Ps3 controller which my PC thinks is a 360 controller through MotionJoy, and I can't use the keyboard. It probably just depends on the drivers you're using and what they allow. I have no idea if it's possible to change this through game files. If so, it would probably be quite difficult.
