Is there a way to make Blades armor Legendary?

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 8:11 pm

Blades armor is my favorite, but I've tried everything to make it legendary. My smithing is maxed out, and I've tried using some leather bracers that give me 17% better smithing combined with a potion that adds 18% to that. Can it be done??

Do you have perks for daedric or dragon?

Use potions or console commands to make your Smithing really high. I think 190-210 is the magic number.

I believe with a base skill of 100 and at least 4 enchants of fortify smithing 25 points you can make blades armor legendary... but I'm not certain on that. Of course you can just toss the enchantments on something useless like a cheap set of leather.

I was wondering this too, it's making me so angry especially since I have 100 smithing and invested in all the perks.

I think Blades armor is categorized as it's own set and is unaffected by the different perks.

Short Answer: Yes, but you need fortify smithing stuff because it does not fall in to any of the armor types you can perk for.

I did it with a +50% smithing potion, and 3 pieces of fortify smithing gear between 17% and 22% (can't remember exact numbers). I was only using what I found/bought for fortify smithing/enchanting/alchemy stuff. Obviously you can do better if you make your own stuff.

Edit: it will never be as good as something you perked for though since while the blades armor is "Legendary" the stuff you perked for with the same Fortify Smithing stuff would be like "Legendary+++++" But I use the blade armor because I like it and it's easy enough to hit armor cap anyway so it doesn't matter.

Yes with smithing at 100 and armor ring amulet and glove with 25% better smithing on each and a potion enhancing smithing 88% I easily got it to legendary but like others have said it will never be as good as armors you have invested perks in.

I want to do this too, but it's making my head hurt.

I don't have any alchemy or enchanting skill and don't really want any just because of the guards spamming me. So to make this I'll need to take a fortify alchemy potion, so I can make a decent enchanting potion, so I can make a decent set of alchemy gear, so I can make an even better enchanting potion, to make another set of alchemy gear, so I can make an even better enchanting potion, to make a set of enchanting gear, to make a set of smithing gear, to improve my blades armour.

Hopefully that helped someone else @_@

You can obtain a smithing enchantment that can go on weapons by
Spoiler
going to the tip top of the Throat of the World near Paarthanax and above him you will find various ore deposits. Somewhere near there is a pick axe that boosts smithing. Equip that to two weapons AND enchant several pieces of armor with smithing bonuses and make smithing potions.
