I can't access Nexus now, but I bet your problem is not with the map markers as such, but with a mod that alters the map and its dimensions.

EDIT: As I thought...you need to make sure the new map mod loads as late as possible, otherwise the game will use the new map graphics, but use vanilla dimensions (or world co-ordinates) resulting in the map markers being off.

At a guess, I'd say you are using a map that includes Stirk, and not using the MergedMaps.esp, or not using a map that includes Stirk and are using MergedMaps.esp.

With Stirk on map, use the ESP.

Without Stirk on map, don't use the ESP.

Easiest way is with OBMM or Wrye Bash programs.

Less easy way is by manually modifying the dates of the files.

Do you have the Stirk mod installed?

Yes

Edit:Moved Mergedmaps.esp all the way to the bottom, it was second to last.

Didn't work.

Okay, so you definitely installed one of the maps that has Stirk on it?

And you have MergedMaps.esp active at the bottom of your load order (which mod is after it, btw)?

Can you post your load order? Which program are you running Wrye Bash or OBMM?

Are you absolutely sure that the map in-game is the map that comes with Merged Maps? If you are using Stirk it's possible Stirk's map is used instead, if Stirk.esp is tagged with Import Graphics.

I turned off Stirk once just to see and it was the same map.

Also I didn't add the stirk map to my data folder I followed the readme instructions for not copying the map. It cna be found in my Isle Of Stirk Thread.

It's the actual map image resource that matters, not the ESP, I believe.

If you scroll to the bottom left of your map in-game, do you see the isle of Stirk?

If the actual map texture from Merged Maps is used and the Merged Maps esp loads last, then it should work...

Ya got me too.

If I could look at it in TES4Edit, maybe I could make sense of it.

If you're lucky, maybe TheNiceOne will spot the thread. He knows Map Markers real well.

hmmm, mabye I should take off all of my map stuff and reinstall Merged maps.

Just realized the problem must be with merged maps because Stirks map is not colored.
