Is there a way to slow down daynight cycle?

Because I think the days/nights/dusks/dawns move too fast. Is there a mod to slow the clock down?

I might be wrong, but you set something to 1, and it will give you a true 24 hours in game time cycle.

If there isn't a mod for that now there will be when the CK is released... So just hang in there!

there's a console command

set timescale to X

sets the speed of how fast time advances in-game

Default value is 20 (or possibly 30). Setting the value to 1 will make time advance at the same rate as the real world.

changing timescale previously caused bugs in most Bethesda games.

it supposedly borks all the slow time effects in Skyrim for one thing

search for more info on the wikis

Open console and type "set timescale to #" ( No quotations obv )

20 is the default. Lower it to make time move slower.

EDIT: Beat by a few seconds. Damn :( lol

In the console write

set timescale to 18

and you get slower time.

The default game time is 20. But if you lower it to 18 it is enough to give a nice touch.

edit: To see your game timescale write this in console:

show timescale

edit 2: I'm sleepy slow! Got ninja'd multiple times woot! :ninja: :ninja:

i use set timescale to 5. its perfect. it not as slow as real time so there is sime sense of time passing but its not ridiculously fast like the vanilla settings.

there's also an old .ini setting from Oblivion and Fallout 3 etc but im unsure how well/if it works

fGlobalTimeMultiplier=1.0000 - Raising the value above 1 speeds up the rate at which world time passes, lowering it below 1 slows down time. This setting is interesting for watching rapid-motion sunsets/sunrises for example.

you sure default is 20? time seems faster than oblivion

or maybe i sense that because of more light effects.

i use 10, perfect for me :)

yes, it was. but for the same reason, i find that skyrim is even faster, so I can't believe it is 20 by default D:

I prefer 12, 5 real minutes is one game hour, 1 real hour is 12 game hours, 2 real hours are 1 game day. Works perfectly for me.

It only feels faster because the game does not pause anymore when you talk to NPC's and such.

@ Witblitz:

There's no ini setting for time. You use the console command and the setting stays in your game when you save.
