This thread is about guards not taking your stolen goods.

I remember reading that you can sell stolen things to merchants, but will we be able to prevent guards from taking stolen things? I would imagine that with the reworked crime system we would keep stolen things if nobody reported it, but maybe not. I also wonder if the old trick of dropping stolen things before arrest will work now.

It would be even cooler if we could bribe certain guards to ignore our thefts and let us keep our stolen goods!

Discuss! :starwars:

I'm sure bribing will allow us to keep our goods.

As for keeping them if the theft goes unnoticed... I sure hope so.

What I heard is that if there are no witnesses, it's legit stuff. And it's probabky legit in different holds too.

maybe. I hated how guards ALWAYS knew what was stolen. especially in Morrowind, because I had no freaking clue what was stolen and what wasn't half the time
