Yes, they conflict. Choose one.

Well yeah, they will obviously conflict.

Why would you try to add two mods that both control how and when you level up?

Both in very different ways.

Ok, thanks but just wondering is there a compatibility patch or something.

I'm not sure how that would work.

They take the levelling into completely opposite directions. nGCD is automated/enhanced vanilla levelling while oblivion XP is completely based on getting exp to level up then spending your points on skills/attributes.

Considering they are trying to do the same thing in diametrically opposite ways, the "compatibility patch" is "use one of them"

Both mods are by the same author: tejon. Per the http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1317993-relz-ngcd-v30/ release thread:

"Changes since the 2.0 series:

  • nGCD is now built upon the Fundament platform. This has allowed numerous improvements and optimizations.
  • Configuration has been streamlined, but remains as flexible as ever. Uncappers are automatically detected, and most users won't need to change any settings at all. Advanced settings are much more intuitive.
  • Defaults have been revamped to produce less punishing early-game attributes, particularly for highly specialized characters. Magicka pool scaling is greatly increased, and regeneration is slower at first (especially for non-mages) but also scales much higher for the dedicated mage."

You can disable Fundament leveling in the INI by simply not uncommenting the related entries in Bundlement. There is discussion about this in the http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1257335-relz-fundament/ release thread as well. Admittedly, it can be quite complex to configure if you do not like the defaults. But all flexibility comes with some degree of complexity.

Does that mean that Bundlement.esp should not be activated ?

Slight confusion, tejon did not make Oblivion XP. He made Fundament and nGCD.

Bundlement.esp contains features that change how different skills advance, based on the "quality" of the actions you do to increase them: heavy, slow weapons will train your combat skills more than light ones, spells will train your magic skills on a per effect and magicka cost basis, mercantile will advance faster by selling and buying more expensive stuff...

Since Oblivion XP gets rid of 'learn-by-use' skill advancement, Bundlement has no use alongside it.

Fundament doesn't change how leveling works, at most it has options to alter the amount of skill experience you get from using a skill. But it has many more features that any mod can find useful.
