They're back!

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 10:27 pm

I just realised, if the next Elder Scrolls game is set in Skyrim, and after Morrowind (which it is), then Saint Jiub, the Dunmer in the boat with you at the start of Morrowind, would have driven out the... Cliff Racers! And where would they go from Morrowind? We know they didn't go to Cyrodiil. I doubt they would go to Black Marsh (too many diseases) they must have gone to Skyrim.

What do you think? Will we have to fight Cliff Racers again?

I'm all for dwemer ruins, but as for cliff racers, if they change their attack tactics and regularity, then I might like to see the outcome.

The game is 4 years into development. All threads posted here are only speculation.

As long as they can descend quickly and not get stuck in trees/the air, then I have no more of a problem with them than any other flying creature. As long as they aren't annoying this time around, I think they could be a funny easter egg.

I couldn't really see a reptile-like creature like a cliff racer surviving in a cold area like Skyrim. If Bethesda can make it make sense though, I don't see a problem with it.

That's the whole point my friend :celebration: . When does oblivion ever make since? At least not in our world. Ive never thought of random cat(khajit) bandits asking for gold or to kill me! I don't see why a warm blooded reptile can't live in a mountainous area.

What my point is that oblivion has many weird creatures in it.

I can't really see cliffracers surviving in Skyrim either, considering that Solstheim was too cold for them, although if they DID return, it would not really be as bad as some might make it out to be provided that the cliffracers were made much less annoying. Just making them less frequent would do a lot to make them less unpleasant, considering that a large part of what made people hate them so much is probably that no matter where you go, there were so many of them.
