THEY FIXED IT

Post » Sat Jun 25, 2011 7:14 pm

I just read the transcript with AusGamer and Todd, and they intend to fix the issue of sleeping in dead people's beds. It always said you couldnt sleep in an owned bed, but if the person was dead how could they "own" anything? Thank you bethesda, for making being a bad ass a little easier to sleep at night :D

This was actually confirmed before AusGamer months back. Still good to be reminded though :)

It could be fixed with mods in Oblivion and I'm sure it would be fixed rather quickly in Skyrim anyway.

Doesn't seem like a thread worthy of CAPS.

For is silence not the symphony of Death? The orchestration of Sithis himself?

Thats good. You'll need a clear conscience for what I'm about to propose.

Todd said it isn't in the game yet, but something they plan to do. It's far from confirmed.

are you saying that if you died tomorrow that your family wouldnt own your possesions?
under a certain age. im pretty sure you dont need a will. and if you dont have one. the law decides who gets what.
so... odds are unless you killed that person. and his entire family. his family will own it.

but todd said the issue annoyed him so it is certainly confirmed todds gonna have it fixed pronto if it isnt already fixed. ive said it before and i will say it again a quality game is one the developer themself loves and plays. now that is quality assurance!

does a dead man not own his life inssurance? possesion..is such a relative term...id feeel better iff they made some kindof law system where after someone died there were trails or what not held...defining the laws (iff any) as to post death possesion of items...land, ect....dont know how plausable it sounds but its a thought...

Do you remember seeing life insurance in TES? I didn't. Besides, the process of giving away the possessions of a will could take awhile, especially if you only JUST killed the person and no one knows yet. Dead men tell no tales, after all.

Besides, you could easily kill the family as well, and then the possessions will just sit there until sold. I only need the bed for a small rest after so many murders.

Why not make it like Morrowind where you could sleep in any bed no matter who owned it, at your own risk.
Is there a magical barrier preventing me from lying there?

The simple solution would be to add incurable STDs to the list of diseases, which you could catch by sleeping in other people's beds. Or by walking too close to the local tavern wench.

All these quotations in this thread from the first conversation with Lucien makes me proud to be a Elder scrolls nerd. :D

And this will most certainly be in the game. Todd said it was on the list, he would either say they weren't sure or something similar along those lines if it wouldn't be in.

in the most recent AUS interview (or german? one of the too) he says its not implemented...even though in the GI interview and or Podcasts back earlier this year he said it was in :teehee: he also said you can kill everyone and that it was annoying that people wanted it in so they put it in...as if that is something hard to do? im pretty sure if someone is trying to sterilize the game they really arent concerned about continuiing quests....there is also the part about saving your game :P

as stated far from confirmed.
