They Should make it compatible with mods for the Xbox and the PS3. Because it would be awesome and the game will never get old. like guns and clothing and stuff that people made with the GECK. It would be awesome to see.

Ask Microsoft and Sony they'd be the ones who'd make it compatable.

Well, that's what Beth wants to do, but the last I heard, Todd Howard has no clue how to make it work.

And no clue if MS and Sony would allow it!

HIGHLY doubt either company would allow them.

Actually, Sony is completely open to mod support. Microsoft isn't however, due to the fact that it wouldn't turn a profit.

Gotta love capitalism. If they could just do it, PC games could not be modded either. Thankfully PC has a more open interface that can bypass just about anything.

Other than that even being a PC user I would like to see consoles getting mods too. Why not? But unfortunately this falls into "I want a Pony" category since this is an honest wish that will most likely never come true.

Oh, the same old argument. Maps and mutators are very different from mods for Bethesda games.

They will never allow mods. Quality control concerns, virsis concerns, hacking issues - plus there is no money in it. But I wish they would. I would actually go buy Bethesda games for my 360 and my PC. Would love to see Fallout on my Big Screen TV with full surround sound.

Ha, but then the wife would complain about me taking the good TV all the time, so I would still need it for the PC!

Small mods are already possible, like inventory mods, but thats nothing compared to what you can do on a PC.

PC G.E.CK style mods (designing your own quests, altering the map, making new guns etc) are possible on a proper modded Xbox, they work by actually opening up the actual game files rather than your game saves. So yea, you can already do it, the downfalls are that if you go online you get your console bricked, but who cares because Fallout NV is of-course a single player game.

I've never tried it on PS3 so yea.

I might buy a DLC that was a 'best of' pack.
But honestly, looking at the mods themselves, there isn't any one mod that could convince me to get the PC version. I really would prefer to keep the environment 'legit'.

What Bethesda should do is have the mods uploaded to them and test them before they are put up on the PSN or Xbox marketplace.

In order to fund this they should have a membership/pass that is a one time payment in Microsoft points/money (around 5 dollars). This would cover the expenses of sifting through the mods themselves and comfort Microsoft!

This could work. :turtle:

No, frankly they shouldn't. I don't want them wasting testing resources on mods that have to bend the rules because they have no programming support and have to do everything with scripts. I'd rather have them spend all those resources on making a new damn Fallout game. I've never been a PC elitist here, but buying a console then asking why you can't have mods is like the guy that buys a house on a golf course and [censored]es when people hit his house with golf balls. WTF were you expecting? If you want mods, get a PC. Sorry, but that's how it is and how it's gonna be for quite a while.
