Another NCR companion? Brilliant!

I still believe a frumentarii companion would be awesome.

No.
Overpowered.
Wouldn't listen to the player unless it was a Talking Deathclaw (Which only exists in the mid-west), Intelligent Deathclaw (Which are extinct) or if it had a mind controlling device (which only exists in the east coast).
Would be shot on sight by every single NPC in the game.

Vulpes Inculta

After you've helped him do the quests he assigned you, he would've decided to use a new cover with you.

S:6
P:5
C:5
I:6
A:6
L:5
Affiliation: Legion, Khans (unless a certain quest is done.), Fiends.

Sidequest: Vulpes needs to tie up some loose ends from his former cover, and needs some help making it look like the NCR killed them, before you start attacking them you would have two options: A.) Help him kill them, and plant evidence pointing to the NCR, or B.) Convince Vulpes to plant evidence pointing to the Legion for a failed attack.

The first option gives you a perk which would be "The Spy: You are able to enter faction-zones controlled by factions that have you flagged as 'Hated' or worse for five minutes before being shot, do an extra 40% damage against enemy factions", while the second option gives you NCR Rep, and "Double-Agent: You can blend into crowds, and imitate soldiers of factions that have you flagged as 'Hated' or worse, do an extra 25% damage against friendly factions."

One of the crazy old ladies who attack you.....

Weapons: .357 magnum
rolling pin

Surrenders after you kill the other 2 and reduce her to low health. You get the option to recruit her after finishing a quest to remove some Freeside troublemakers. Her upgrade quest would involve finding the drifter responsible for killing the grandchildren of the old ladies you eliminated.

Perk: "Made from scratch" Allows you to make survival skill items anywhere.

Upgrade perk: "Just the way mom made it" +10% to all cooked food bonuses and a couple unique recipes

EDIT: Companion perks that give + skill seems lame to me. They should enhance the skills rather than substitute them.

Let's say that was actually possible. You still wouldn't be able to take it anywhere.

She couldn't.
She's still just a human.

A beastlord could probably tame a really stupid deathclaw but they're kinda extinct IIRC.

Why not? We walk around with an insane super mutant, an Enclave robot, a cyborg dog that hates hats and Boone.
A tame deathclaw would seem sort of normal after those guys.

I want a giant radscorpion companion, myself. Every now and then it would randomly sting someone and then try to look innocent.

No, just no. No way in hell you'd be able to bring a deathclaw into the strip or anywhere else.

boxcars
you have to bring him 20 med-x, 10 stimpaks and 5 doctors bags and give him 9 days to heal and he'll come with you.
perk: watch out I got a handicap, every time one of your limbs get crippled your dr or dt whatever, goes up by 25%(same as med-x)

story: Boxcars wants to stop being a powder ganger after what happened at nipton and so you have to get him an ncr outfit, go to camp mccarran and get him a pardon, to do this you have to do all the side quests, excluding the one with the director of oni the one in the vault, and freeform quests (the ones that dont show up) and you get one favour from hsu, you can get a pardon or some caps. If you choose to take the caps boxcars runs off and you get hated reputation with the powder gangers if you didn't already. If you get him the pardon then he will keep being your companion and will get the perk: med-x addict, whenever you drop to 25% of your health you get an extra 25% dr or dt. To stop him from getting the pardon you can perform a difficult speech, 75 or kill Hsu and other quest givers. you return to him and tell him that there all dead and he'll stay with you and get the perk: lottery winner and will get +5 luck for gambling purposes or lottery runner-up which is +3, you have to pass a luck test. If you complete the quest in any way, he will still be able to wear ncr outfits, usefull if you didn't get him the pardon.

A Fire Gecko, which you acquire after finding one all alone looking sad and help find it's family.

Perks; high resistance to fire and radiation. Gecko's become friendly.

Upgrade by freeing the Geckos from Vault 19 (which isn't necessarily a good thing for the rest of wasteland).

Special move; teaches you the squat down with head in hands defence, which is absolutely useless.

I would like Alerio, the Frumentarii.

Perk: Behind Enemy Lines

While wearing enemy faction armor, your true identity will never be revealed.

After you do his quest like other companions, he gets a replica of Legate Lanius' outfit to intimidate the NCR, which highly increases the chance of NCR Troopers to flee and their DT is lowered by 2.

how about a scarred up old deathclaw with a slave collar on. Instead of a red light on the collar it's blue and it shocks it unconscious.when he gets to 25% health it frenzies like an ant shot on the antenna, complete with disregard for friend or foe; its speed is raised by 5% and DR DROPS by 5. to stop it you use a special detonator with a blue light on top, witch activates the collar.

backstory- after completing 'bleed me dry' red lucy offers you a chance to fight a deathclaw in the arena, once done lucy says "Very impressive my hunter, the croud loves and fears you; since you've proven yourself able at handling the most feared beasts of the Thorn, I'll give you one of our more... unruly beasts, that is if you think you can handle it"

He gives the Alpha male perk-when he's active you won't get attacked by any animals unless you get to close, even other deathclaw, except Alphas, Mothers and the legendary (going into an animal's cave is considered getting to close).

i'll think about the companion quest
