2 things about Skyrim...

Post » Fri Aug 09, 2013 3:31 pm

1. Landing in water from a way great height should damage health as much as landing on hard ground.

2. Golden ingots (and golden objects) should have much heavier inventory weight.

That's it.

That's it (after 800+ posts!)? For all of Skyrim? I think descending vertical surfaces by foot would make the list as well....

I'm sure there are mods for both of those things.

That's your only option.

If anything good should weigh less since its lighter than a lot of other metals.

As for the landing in water......I like it just how it is. No complaints from me.

Landing in water from large heights and taking no damage is actually in a lot of video games. And I rather like it that way.

It's like hitting concrete. People die that way.

Yeah, you're right. Falling into water from a great height can really mess up a person's day. If on PC there is a mod that adresses the issue of weight, even coins though I haven't got that one yet.

Yes, it's that surface tension thing water has going. But i keep saying: unless it's a simulator, screw realism!

More people need to think this way, it'd make much of the rage over various games go away.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uHkyMh9FW4. To be fair, people like this are more the exception, than the rule. This does however, point out that it really depends on how you land. If you tried a belly flop from that distance, you'd be dead quick.

But, since this isn't real life, I want to be able to jump off a 5000 foot cliff into water that's barely deeper than head high and walk away like it was nothing.

Not exactly. Diving head-first will alleviate the impact. People can dive 50ft+ into water unharmed.
