Things have changed since FO3

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 4:57 pm

It's almost out and this is just to help out anybody that is not sure if they will get this game due to the fact that it looks the same. Well, yes the game looks the same aside from the blue skies, sunsets, and stars, but beyond the there have been many gameplay improvments. SUCH AS:

Companion wheel
Companion perks
Weapon mods
hardcoe mode
More quests
New factions
Gambling
Traits
Binoculars
Night/Thermal vision
Nightkins
Snow
More Freindly Super-Mutants
More than twice the guns
More joinable factions
Reputation
New drugs
Repair kits
Doctors bags
Unique speach options for low intellegence characters.
Crafting
Poison/Medicine making
Ammo crafting
Disguises
180 quests
Ability to Play-Through as a pacifist
Ability to kill every person in-game except for one.
Iron Sights
Non-Lethal ammo types
Ammo Type Switching
Faction ranking
Advanced power armor
Deeper Main Quest
More choices/endings
Electricity
hokers/Strippers
Stregnth/skill requirments for weapons
More Currencies
Courier Missions
Higher level cap
Vegetation
Perks every 2 levels
Perk that allows you to repair armour with another piece of armour SIMLIAR to your armour (Power Armour repaired with Metal Raider Armour) (Duster repaired with Long Coat).... not sure if there is a "Long Coat" in game, but that is an example. Metal to metal... leather to leather... cloth to cloth

If there is anything I've forgotton please tell me and I will add it.

71 Side Quests (Good size)
80 Free Quests (we don't know what these are yet but probably small)

In an earlier thread I posted this list and about 3 people told me that was the number.

There is a trait caleed wild wateland that, when picked, allows more, and sillier encounters. So I'd say more.

There are only 20 achievements for quests though, and given the number of other quests, it can be assumed that those are main quests. I suppose we'll find out.

No there wasn't. There was around 50 including the tutorial and unmarked quests, not including DLC or repeatables. New Vegas has a substantially higher amount of quests than that.

Stay on topic, folks!

Interesting to see a full list of new things to look forward to. I knew it was getting under my skin when I dreamt that I was in the Fallout world and had a broken leg, and was thinking, "There's no way I can treat this myself - I must find a doctor!"

Hopefully you can repair weapons even if you don't have that kind of weapon. Like using scrap metal or something at a workbench.
