Things I hope to see with Vampires

Post » Fri Sep 09, 2011 2:15 pm

I was wondering if Vampirism would effect your character as far as combat . Hopefully vampire finishers will be include which involves you ripping out the enemies throat with your fangs to quench your thirst for blood instead of you having to svck blood every night as well as give you an enrage effect any time you consume blood from an enemy(or hopefully)through vials of blood you can carry around. As for vampire encounters things like a stake to the heart finisher are included.

Special finishers based on race or special abilities like vampirism would be amazing

but I really, really doubt they'll be in the game

combat finisher feeding animations

stealth feeding

thralls - living servants that you have brain washed with your vampire abilities to become your servant. They can be full companions but they have no special bonus.

multiple lvls of vampirism each lvl increasing blood proficiency, strength, speed, and resistances

special vampire abilities that are tied to the amount of blood you have intake - basically you get a blood meter. with time it ticks down ( earlier lvls of vampirism tick down faster than later lvls forcing younger vampires to feed more than older ones) and with the use of these abilities it drains it.

at mid lelel of vampirism you can creat fledgling vampires - npc's that you turn into vampires, they will need to feed and hide from the sun just as you. for control purposes though they will not create their own vampires or thralls.

I hope above everything else that other vampires will become non-hostile if you are a vampire. That would let you have like a vampire-clan or something.

I already posted this in another thread, but...
Dude I'd LOVE that! Beastly vamps would be awesome! So awesome that I prepared a bullet point presentation!

-Becoming a vamp should make human/elf hair look more shaggy/wild. Khajiits should also get shaggier fur! And Argonians... Argonians can go do somthing over there...

-When you're a vamp you should get REALLY long fangs. Like, holy crap a bloodthirsty monster long. Not those fangs look sharp, but still kinda cute long.

-Transformations! ^.^ Every good vampire can turn into a bat! But since SOME people are aginst flying in this game... <_< I guess we could turn into a wolf, or a black cat/lynx, or somthing.

-New animations. Vamps should run way faster, and have an animation that shows it. Maybe if they took WAY bigger strides, or leaned foward. Also, jumping.

-Keep it under control. I know this is more of a Cyrodilic vamp thing. But it'd be cool if drinking blood made you temporarily look less like a "super badass, awesome, beast, rawr imma rip you throat out and drink your blood like mead." kinda vamp, and more like a "socially acceptable, high class charmer, strang but in a good way, twilight-y (Dun be hatin'! ) I'll still give you quests" kinda vamp.

-Speaking of drinking blood... There should be many methods of doing so. Sneaking up behind someone and drinking it, drinking it while they're sleeping, knocking someone out in a fight and drinking it, and just dinking the blood from a dead corpse (for less of a bonus).-Faction(s). A vampire faction, where they do vampire related quests (Maybe collecting blood, or turning a specific person. ) Also Vamp faction vs Wolf faction would be sweet! (Twilight wasn't the first to do it, and it isn't ruined because they did it. Please continue, my good sir. and deal with it.)

Edit: Wait... does S T F U automatically change to "Please continue, my good sir."? Oh you clever mods, you.

Decent ideas. I agree with most except the drink blood makes you look less like a REAL vampire.
And yes, Twilight did kill all Werewolf vs. Vampire things. Killed them hard.

ahhhhhhhhhhh cant remember.... i believe it was the interview with the art director.... anyways that asked him about vampires since the cat had been let out of the bag and he said yes they were confirmed and said a few more things about them and then mentioned stealth feeding... but didnt go into any more depth than that.

i personally wouldnt mind both the cyrodiil vampires and the Volkihar of skyrim. WHY? because the Cyrodiil vampires have no compition! lore even says that they have driven all other vampires out of the province... so they would only spread and start to cross borders into other provinces. thus you could become a Volkihar or Cyrodiil vampire... also a skirmish war between them as a story would be cool imo.

Mmkay,

1. It makes sense because no blood = un naturaly pale skin = Everyone knows you're a vamp. Drinking blood would make your skin darker, and your vampirism easier to hide.

2. Twilight barley even had the whole vamp vs wolf thing, It was just one of each in a love triangle! Srsly! If it was in Skyrim, it'd be nothing like that! Well... maybe for one quest that could be parodying twilight... :)

I'm just hoping they have nice cloths like they did in MW. I rarely do much with the vampire line of quests but I do like taking their cloths as they seemed more fashionable than the rest.

I would really like to see a break from all the cuteness surrounding vampires lately. I am up for a return to the horrific monsterous type vampires for awhile. I don't mean just gorey type slaughter-prone vampires like in the other spectrum of movie vampires. You know like a giant human/bat combo race that enslaves entire villages to their will and thinks of them as mere cattle.
Getting tired of the "I will only drink a little bit, not enough to kill you" vampire trend. Vampires should look upon the living as you would look upon a jelly donut. Sorry.... I tried to have just one... but they all looked so good and I was REALLY hungry.

The only thing I want is for drinking blood to make you stronger. Oblivion's mechanic of feeding actually weakening you was just [censored].

Telepathic feeding (since there's no more spell creation)

Daggerfall style strain traits

That you get more powerful when you feed

More lore, factions and setting specific traits and variables

I understand why you would think so, but I actually kind of liked it the way it was in oblivion. Basically when you feed, you have blood in you and you look human and are "almost alive". When you go without feeding for a while, you become this ugly monster. I thought it was an original approach to vampirism.

Yeah, I would choose Cyrodilic vampires over Volkihar any day. And a mini battle would be epic as hell. Rally common villagers to kill a vampire threat, unbeknown to them, you are a vampire. Don't get me wrong, I like savage vampires and all. But I rather be charming, dark and dangerous. And blend into society. Cyrodilic vampires can walk in the sun, but they hardly ever do so because their tenets say avoid daylight by lifestyle. For RP reasons, I won't even run around during they day with a vampire character, even if he can walk in the sun for a day.
