So, I'm on my first 'real' playthrough (after a few false starts earlier in the year, and a few test runs sorting out a couple of mods last week) and I figure, my noobness might be vaguely amusing to some, so here are some things I have learned so far:
1. Scribs are adorable. I want a pet scrib.
2. I now feel really guilty for all the times on my first attempt to play the game when I saw scribs and thought 'oh no, another thing that's going to try to kill me!' and attacked.
3. Playing as a melee fighter is surprisingly good fun, so far - I usually go with more rogue/mage hybrid type characters in the other games, and this one is doing a bit of alchemy and conjuration, but mostly she's wearing light armour and hitting stuff with a longsword.
4. If a naked man starts punching you, don't laugh indulgently at him, like you would in Skyrim. Because that will go like this: "hahahahaARGH I AM ON THE GROUND!"
5. I am really quite glad I installed the nevernvde version of Better Bodies (may be related to 4.)
6. If you're told that somewhere is 'North', and you're in a city, don't just start trying to walk over the mountain north of the city. Take two minutes to go east and you'll find the road. They have those.
7. Apparently the crates around Balmora don't *always* have shiny magic swords in. Apparently not on this playthrough, anyway. Sigh. (My first playthrough I found about three or four. I did find a ring of Mark, though, that's pretty neat.)
