Things to do...

I find myself at least once a day along my own wait for Skyrim wondering what I'm going to do in terms of Character play. I've always played a sneak in previous Elder Scrolls games, and its worked very well for me. Striking from the shadows just seems to fit my playstyle very well. Yes, I do tend to go for the darker side. (Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild route)

However, I want to do something different this time round. I'm trying to finish oblivion for the umpteenth time, and I'm wondering if I should restart and play a more Noble Ranger? Or Should I attempt this feat in Morrowind (which I've barely played since Oblivion's release) If I were to attempt it in Morrowind, I'd be thoroughly lost and probably go to Oblivion anyway.

So, what I ask of you noble readers, is not just what game I should be trying this on, but any tips and such to help shape this Legolas-esque Ranger of the Light.

Thanks for reading, and I appreciate any feedback you folks care to give.

I say go for it, I've never played morrowind so I cannot comment on that.
I've always been a good guy (the opposite to you) I always find it hard to do wrong even if it is just a game ( I'd be a rubbish murderer irl lol) and I've always been warrior type characters. I've always loved archers and thought they would be too weak but people on this board convinced me otherwise, he's actually insanely overpowered so I've started a new character and created a huge backstory for him , so this guy is mean and out for revenge, without a backstory I would of probably struggled to shift those good guy habits but I'm finally breaking free!

Bottom line is sticking to what you know everytime is ok but mixing it up and creating something different or doing things out of the ordinary can be quite refreshing and eye opening, it was for me and I'm loving being evil lol, good luck and have fun. Let us know how it goes.

Since you're a sneaky type, why not play just the opposite? A party animal, swashbuckling rogue or a bandit or something. I have one character who never sneaks, never uses invisibility, always BURSTS into the room shouting her intention! :woot: In this case, she is a Lawful Good Paladin, so as she bursts into the room, she tends to shout "GIVE UP YOUR EVIL WAYS, AND GIVE INTO THE NINE!" or something to htat effect. She always give NPCs the choice of giving up.

Anyways, that's something to consider. It's possible to play the game without sneaking around, and still be successful at it. The "noble ranger" type works, too.
