Things that I am dissapoint

You won't buy the game because there's a 3D map? It's so much more functional than Oblivion's terrible parchment map (which was a huge downgrade from Morrowind's), and the map is there for the player's benefit, not the character's. Well, I'll be having fun and being very aware of my surrounding environment, while you'll be sitting around playing a different game I guess.

sort of agree with you on the map. you were losing me on the whole staffs part, but you did have a point. i totally disagree with you about the perks.

#3 Perks aren't looking to be all that they could have been. They seem to be a step down from Fallout's perks which were great. I thought they would be at least on par with that, but sadly they don't seem to be. I'm very excited about perks, but Fallout quality perks would have been amazing.

Of your complaints, this is the only one that resonates with me. I have other complaints of my own, from the loss of spellmaking, to the damned merged armour, to the absence of acrobatics and athletics, and possibly this nonesense about 1 companion at a time.

I am a little disgusted that some of my fears about the perks seem to be becoming realities. My great hope was that they would all be really innovative additional powers and abilities not before seen in the Elder Scrolls games. And more and more it is beginning to look like at least half of them will be nothing more than standard abilities that you used to get in other Elder Scrolls games just through practice and skill leveling, now being repackaged and resold at the high price of excluding other "perks" which also used to be automatically available at the much more reasonable price of time, effort and practice.

1. Map, isn't a big deal for world, I'm assuming we can toggle to a more traditional local map but even so it isn't a gamebreaker. I actually think a Daggerfall style dungeon map would be better for multi levels.

2.I'm not excited either way for staves.

3. I think the perks are a bit dissapointing namewise, I was actually hoping for humorous names like Fallout (fantasy themed, Princess Bride Holy Grail references), But I think they will function just as well.

This.

I love the map. It may be one of the best features in my opinion. The staffs, I could care less, I probably won't really use them. Maybe a Gandalf character.. And the perks? Really?

What if everyone were to buy every game that had things they didn't like. Developers would stop caring about what the community wants.

Oh wait. That's already happening. It's no wonder we, the players, don't get what we want. When it's us that's paying + playing it. People need to set harder lines to stop devs ignoring us. Hit 'em where it hurts: sales.

This.

A double this!

The map is cool IMO, but I understand why diehard fans might not like it.
Some of the perks seem bland but you haven't seen all of them stop complaining until you do.

WTF dude, I think your preaching to the whining minority. I can't wait until the game comes out and most will buy it.

I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

That's pretty much my thought on the OP.

I agree with everything you have stated. Google Nirn truly infuriates me, in my humble opinion it completely shatters immersion and is far too hand-holding. The staffs could have been done better this time around and the perks shown so far do not compensate for the loss of skills and feel rather lackluster. This game is decaying at a rather alarming rate... I wonder, in the end, how many mods it will take to fix everything... :sadvaultboy:

No matter how hard the devs try to perfect a game, people will always have something to complain about.

Loss of skills! Are we going to rehash this again? Mysticism spells are still in but merged, Athletics and Acrobatics were a joke, smithing is a vastly improved armour, and enchanting is in. Not to mention 1h and 2h that merge the weapon types that can be chosen through perks. Seems to me there are more choices!
You guys make me sick :swear:

That's how it gets better.

Otherwise we'd still be playing Arena and TES would be the same as COD

It's not necessarily unproductive, but people saying they won't buy the game because of something so trivial as a map is simply overkill.

It's got stiff competition from Dark Souls and Deus Ex

I Lol'd. Those will be good games, but not on the level of Skyrim. Not even close. Both in terms of general gaming and RPG's.

Arguing with you is rather pointless: you are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine. I must ask though, do you not feel the game becoming more of a game and less of a world?
