Things that made you go "What?"

First time seeing the flying Protectron glitch was definitely a WTF! moment. It was my very first game of Fallout3 and I was walking under the raider's overpass near Vault 101, heading in the direction of BigTown. The Protectron came flying over the crest of the hill from the direction of 101, arms and legs spread wide, spinning fast and landed somewhere out of sight in the valley. I decided that the the nuke in Megaton had gone off, launching poor deputy Weld. So I crouched down, expecting a blast wave. When nothing happened, I started to get REALLY scared as the only other thing I could think of that would launch a robot like that had to be some truly ENORMOUS mutant and I spent some nervous seconds waiting for it to appear...

I've seen many flying Protectrons since, but one other stands out. I was approaching the Regulators HQ to turn in some fingers when I noticed a dot on the horizon in the direction of Canterbury Commons. This dot was getting bigger, and bigger. Protectron incoming!! I took two steps to the left and it impacted right where I'd been walking and went clattering across the ground for another fifty feet or more. I'm sure that if I hadn't stepped aside it would have popped me like a melon.

In the same library, there's a kiddy classroom. In the teachers desk, I found a carton of cigarettes.

This doesn't seem too odd. It does take place 200 years since normalcy, its understandable that it was infested with people that smoke. It was a library at some point but it changed.

I had just stepped out of the Super-Duper Mart when I heard loud gunshots and Bryan Wilks ran past me. Behind him came a Hunter (the Scavenger type, not one the cannibal ones) reloading his hunting rifle as he trailed Bryan. The Hunter kept running after the boy - firing his rifle every other couple of feet - for as long as I dared to follow.

First time I've ever seen a NPC attacking a child NPC, though I can understand why they would want to.

I recently saw someone explain this particular glitch.

You see... for some reason or another... (probably to keep the Fire Ants in Greyditch from chasing him all over hell and making the quest impossible to accomplish)... Byran Wilks is a full-fledged, card carrying member of the Ant Faction.

That's right, folks. Wilks... is an Ant.

As for -my- story:

I'm standing in the entry hall for Vault 101... Amata has just told me I have to go out into the wasteland alone... she won't come along. Behind me, I hear the guards pounding on the door. Eventually, it opens, and they come charging out. I spin around to start killing them... but before I have a chance to VATS up some head-shots... they bolt right past me and down towards the opening Vault Door.

Then they turn around, walk back up to me, say "Just keep your weapon right there, kid"... and disappear into the hall where they came from.

At first I ignore them, and go to leave... but soon I hear the faint sounds of dying NPCs... so I bolt down to see what had happened.

There, glitched through the wall, is a toaster. Not only is it making a helluva lot of noise... but when I step closer to try and pick it up, it nails me for something like 75% of my level 1 hp!

Seriously? I don't even get to get INTO the game before crazy [censored] happens! -_-;'

probably the creepiest thing i've seen was a dead wastelander in DC. his body was laying on the ground completely normal, but all the pieces of his mutilated skull and arms were hovering above him like he was standing up. made a demonic angel appearance. wish i could have saved a picture of it.

other than that, shooting a Yao Guai in VATS after it leaped and watching it rocket off toward the horizon or a Deathclaw in Meresti that would suddenly spawn on the ground, fly off into space, then pop up again to repeat the process

I was just walking along minding my own "Harbinger of War" business and someone from atop a building starts shooting at me! A raider of course so I pull out my gun and shoot the guy and all of the sudden a decapitated body comes HURLING at me from the top of the building! I thought the raider actually threw a body at me! Either that or it WAS the raider's body! The body never hit the ground, instead it flailed around in mid air with strings attached. My younger brother was watching and nick-named the body Spiderman because it looked like he was flying through the sky using his webs. It was quite entertaining and after I had my laugh I walked along and turned back to find no more flailing body. :P
