Things That You Want And Dont Want In Brink

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 3:03 pm

I know the feeling, I am debating whether to get a 6.5 grendel 24" or a 7.62x39 20" ar15 upper first, to complete my last unused ar 15 lower. Nice 10mm 1911 idea, though I am somewhat biased to the .45 acp, i always wanted to try the 10mm.

I would lean more towards the Grendel, still has good stopping power but since it is slightly small than the 7.62 you have a larger ammo capacity for your AR 15. Though if you go 7.62 you would have a easier time finding the ammo. I know for me getting the 10MM ammo for the Grizzly is going to be harder to find than 50.AE . I just hope I can get a scholarship so I can go to college to become a gunsmith, I could set a good business up here where I live.

good luck with that one, I am surprised that you want to go to college for that, if anything go there for a business degree and take a Armorers/gunsmith course elsewhere.

back to main topic, I have no real wants for this game but I don't want quick scoping fuzz holes who only talk about being "MLG" I can't wait to see them get all butt hurt finding out no OHKs in this game.

Well the nearest place to me is a community college in North Carolina, But back on topic, yeah cause by what was said snipers in this do not one hit people, at least I think 2 shots kill but only on a light character. So takes the point out out quick scoping.

LOL omg that is the best, or like his sleigh is being pushed by elves an you escort him and the Sleigh through a area kinda like the missions where you escort that big robot thingy.

I'n not much of a critical type of gamer but I'm kinda new to Brink (in watching and reviewing trailers, etc.) because I don't watch a lot of media so I might be a little lost in here and probably my opinions won't make any sense but anyways:

Don't want: The SMART system setting in MP. idk, for me it kinda gives it a COD influence (considering MP, not SP). Because this game will give you alot of freedom of movement it kinda encourages the player in MP to make a kill and just get away with it (because escaping looks easy in this game) like a KDR coward. This process repeats and it may be like that: kdr boosting. Even if this game is made to do something against camper type of players (so I've heard) I still think that won't stop people that have the addiction of camping in any game, not just Brink. But I'm amazed what Brink is promising so far and at the same time not so much.

Want: All I expect from FPS mp (in General) is variety of weapons (not including sniper rifles and RPG's) and maps (as long as they're creative and well made).

I don't understand your grievance against SMART in MP, if anything it will make it way different from that fish you were talking about. KDR will not win in this game, you have to complete objectives, you could expect to see a few people actually be able to play the game without firing a single shot.

Like I said earlier, I don't watch a lot of media meaning I haven't seen or investigating much about Brink which is why I said my opinions may not make any sense due to lack of information (I've heard)about the game atm. When I wrote that I was imagining a smart sytstem in you know what game. It kinda felt wrong in my imagination so that's why I said that.

I want: immense amounts of replayability, which will probably happen.
Immersive soundtracks, or at least some music that will go along.

Do not want: For this game to die off like Shattered Horizon (which I enjoyed a lot)

Don't want:
Campers
People who insult you for no reason
Over powered weapon
Hackers
Lag switchers
Lag in general

Want:
Nice people who communicate and work well together
Balanced gameplay
Fun maps
Months or more worth of life
Everything the hype is making it seem

same althought snipers are an exeption to camping. Also i hate the [censored] out of lag.

Hello guys,

i'm the new guy from germany :foodndrink: I've been reading here for a while now, because in germany unfortunately not many seem be be so hyped because of BRINK.

So...what i want: pretty easy, not much more, Brink seems to have everything i was always expecting from a FPS. Especially the customisation options are great. Probably i wanna have even more clothes, gear, weapons (later by DLC?) and i hope we reallly get the teamwork we are all hoping for. And i want a lot of people playing it...for a long while.

What i don't want is everything most of us hate in other FPS:
- Campers
- ridiculous killstreaks
- silly children
- ridiculous unbalanced builds (i hope the light operative is not going to be too annoying)

Pfft no-one can resist the fun of killing other players! Shame on all those who are pacifists in Brink.

You don't Have to complete objectives its just smarter, you can let other people do that.

Oh, and i'll be doing objectives as well but i'll always jump into action and kill a few baddies, until theres a good objective for me!

I wouldn't mind kill streaks if they weren't as overpowered as CoD's.

Maybe just make them all non-lethal stuff that would benefit either the team or just yourself.

My chief concern, as it is with any game, is that there will be a bunch of irritating bugs that they didn't catch during testing, and we'll need to wait a month after release for the game to actually function how it should.

some games do streaks properly, like assassins creed brotherhood

death streaks mainly, some that refresh your cooldowns, give you + score on your next kill,

Noooo not killstreaks, this game already has a awesome skill list that gives things to buff you already or set down turrets an such. We don't need someone being able to have all there skills they buy PLUS a KS reward.

No thanks. Killstreaks, even passive ones, would encourage camping and cause people to not go for the objectives. Nothing good would come of it.

I wouldn't mind an ability that refreshed your action pips quicker upon scoring a kill.
