Things I want back

Spellmaking. Mark, Recall, Levitate (potion plus spell), Open, Weakness to Magic, Cure Disease, Feather, more types of summons, Waterwalking. Being able to raise your running speed and jumping ability.
The corner mini map that you could resize by dragging the edges. Being able to put notes on the map like "Lichen plants here" or whatever. Spears. Being able to wear armor and clothing together. More armor and clothing types. More separate armor pieces. Motar and pestle for making potions while travelling. Seeing your toon when inventory is open. Dragging and dropping inventory items from inventory to toon or even in and out of containers. They never had but they should the ability to name saves and separate save files for each character.

Agreed.

Levitating made dungeons more interesting. Secret passages etc. just give bandit type characters ranged weapons to make it harder to abuse.

Also im adding to the list: more artifact iotems that arent tied to quests.

stop having different tiers of the same monster (Its cheesy). Example: wolf and ice wolf. Add more creatures, more mythical creatures preferably. OR if your going to make differant tiers of the same beast then at least make them a different color and size all together. The visual difference between a normal wolf and an ice wolf is not significant enough.

And as long as we are dreaming i would also like bethesda to drop the voice acting from their game and go back to text. Text allows for much more interesting dialog. It feels silly hearing the same voice over and over again from different people anyways.

im usually one to say cut the crap and such but...i agree with everything there.

as much as skyrim is a step forward, its also a step back in ways. no custom spells for one, such a low number of armors/weapons

+1 except for cure disease and the bit on inventory. Cure was fine in Morrowind where magicka didn't regenerate, and thus it had drawbacks to casting it as a spell instead of using a potion or scroll, but in Oblivion diseases really lacked the same feeling of danger due to the cure spell. As bad as Skyrim and Oblivion's inventories were, the one thing I liked about them was being able to use something with just one press of a finger instead of click and drag.

If you're on PC you can save your files with a name via console command. save "name" including the quotes.

Also, while we're at it, bring back Cast on Use enchants for weapons and armor and an enchanted item's ability to slowly recharge by itself.

Maybe these are good things that DLC will include since they said, the DLC will be worth it this time around !
Hopefully they add this, i doubt they will add spell making though since, it isn't apart of the core now.

I agree with most of those things you listed, however Bethesda amazingly do have a legit justification for removing Levitate (Cities and stuff being in separate Cells), but one thing that has really irked me, and I really didn't think of it until I heard that Kahjiit can cause damage with their claws, Unarmed/Unarmored skill and Perk tree, this skill was mostly useless in Morrowind and I forget if we had it in Oblivion, but my point is now that Melee combat is MUCH better, it actually has a use now, especially with all those finishers and it does annoy me they removed it now of all games.

There's a good reason for levitate being left out.

I'm surprised there is no open spell. Even pure mages are forced to bust out the lock picks

Levitate is a MUST.

In Oblivion,it was somewhat bearable because the character was able of jumping and the terrain wasn't as rough, but in Skyrim it is nothing more than frustrating to travel to the nearest location to that undiscovered place you're trying to go to,just to find out you cannot reach it because its on top of some ucking mountain and you need to have a tour around it to get on to the top.

I TCL-ed my way most of the time in those cases, and no quest was broken. So please bring it back.Restrict it in areas if it's THAT neceassary, but at least give us the opportunity to use it in the wilderness. At least do this.

It's funny we just want the old things back, not even thinking about all the new stuff we could enjoy. How about new spells, cooldowns for spells, damage reduction vs each weapon type (killing dragons with daggers?), true seeing for stronger enemies, more monsters (not just draugr, bandits and mages in robes everywhere), complex quests, meaningful npc interactions etc. I could go on forever.

feather spell, all fortify and resistance spells, more summoning spells (scamp, calanfear, skeleton, etc)

levitate would be cool, but that can be a gamebreaker...still, would not mind punching a dragon right out of the sky
