Currently experiencing a LOT of issues unfortunately. I picked up my Limited Edition copy of the game today (Released today for Australia) and all i've gotten is problems.

Things i'd like to see added: Take a page from Treyarc and add in a Locale Only, and Default search system for games, i've played 3 games in 4 hours and all i've had is 1-2 bar connection (THIS IS POSSIBLY BECAUSE OF THE RELEASE DATE ONLY BEING TODAY)

Problems i'd like to see patched: Connection issues? My router works perfectly fine on every game I have except Modern Warfare 2 which I cannot host parties in, but whenever I try looking for a game or even try changing my classes, I keep getting 'Network connection Error. Please check your connection and try again' and 'Unable to connect to Multiplayer Server, please check your connection and try again'

I can't even load the multiplayer at the moment, it either gets stuck at 'Initializing Squad' or it comes up saying 'Checking Privileges' then times out.

The Connecting to Game Screen, I dislike the fact that it's red, it should be another color, due to the fact that the error screens are red. It sometimes makes it confusing.

Also, dislike the fact that when you press Select to view the scores, then press Square, it loads the players Profile Card, I don't like this feature, possibly changing it to a different button like O or Pause? Cause if you've played COD and die while checking the scores, you tend to mash Square as much as you can to respawn ASAP.

And last but not least, I HATE the fact that when you get a network problem, it shoots you straight back to the main menu and the first button there is Resume Game, and if you're impatient like I am, you click the X button and you're loading your recent campaign game.

Other then those issues, I LOVE this game. The Campaign is amazing and the Nano Suit v2 Is AWESOME!

Will continue to play as much as I can.

My only issue so far is the sound. This game has good sound effects but sometimes the completely cut out. Or just partially. Its very strange and i think its only in MP.

But sound is important because its adds so much to the game and i need it when i play. So i hope they fix it

I'm with both of you actually. Connection issues and sound glitches are my only real concerns at this point, with the former being of greatest importance. I touched on it more than enough in my host advantage topic so I won't dredge it up again here.

Well, I agree with most of this. Connection issues, while seldom, should be eliminated if possible.

One MAJOR issue I have is with the sound. Yes they do cut off entirely sometimes, but it just seems to me like the decibel level is a bit off. I got someone 3 feet away from me unloading on me and it sounds like hes clear on the other side of the battlefield. It really tweaks with your senses. Hard to judge distance by the sound of the gunshots, and thats really crucial for a FPS. Im REALLY hoping to see that fixed... because its pretty epic IMO.

Other glitchy spots are with the graphics. Scenery and textures not always loading up right away on spawn, flickering shadows and even some objects. Just seems like its not really up to par. At least on the PS3 version. Seems like maybe it just needs a little more work on the porting end of things to get stuff to optimize for the PS3.

Also, i think the addition of more clan features would be a nice touch. I could see this game becoming a strategic team based shooter, but without a whole lot of clan support, i cant see anyone taking it seriously as a competitive game.

but at the least, for gods sake... somebody please fix the sound... anyone who has fired, or been near a gun being fired, knows that yes, its a bit louder when its in your hand, but they are almost just as loud when fired even 30 feet away.

I would disagree with this mainly because I seriously believe that the very last thing anyone at crytek wants this game to resemble COD or any other game. Just looking at how every single aspect of it is set up to be different from any other game (save for obvious necessities such as guns, game modes, etc.. that have to be shared) on the market. The way I see it, if people like COD, play COD.. but dont ask developers to make games more like someone elses game. I personally like Crysis 2 for the simple fact that it is NOT like COD in most every way that matters. but thats just my humble opinion. COD sux lol

I will go crazy from CLOAK ENGAGED sound anytime soon :|

and turn on body physics... it is the most unnatural thing in C2. more unnatural than ufos

It's probably just me but, I seem to melee a lot of the time when I'm firing. I tried adjusting the sensitivity on the controller and that just seems to change the speed at which your up, down, left, right, etc. reacts. I play a ton of FPS games so it's not like this is new to me. Maybe I just have to slow down and adjust. Anyone else experiencing this? A way to adjust the sensitivity on the R3 would be nice.

I just had some major issue :|
I wanted to play team instant action and the map was Skyline. It loaded uberfast without loading screen. During match there was no sound. I mean it was but those was some ransom shoots and taunts. It wasn't how it supposed to be :| I had tried the demo early when it was available... Now I'm reinstalling C2 cause maybe some data mixed up with retail and demo > loading time was like the map is on the hdd.
weird thing

I really second that about the turning off the nanosuit speech. he sounds cool and all, but at least have a separate volume control so I dont have my house rumbling 5000 times from the bass of his voice repeating the same crap over and over and over and over. its not like you can run around in stealth for very long lol but, such as it may be, seems that stealth is going to be the dominant module. armor really doesnt do much... especially when you weigh it against being able to stand right in front of an opponent who is oblivious to your presence.

as for body physics, they seemed pretty solid, no? i mean theatrical, no doubt, but not too shabby at all. though, something tells me that making a change to the body physics would be quite intensive. Thats one of those things they will probably just leave alone. sadly, i fear many of these requests will go unanswered... i mean why wouldnt they? the game is made, and so is the money. theres no money in updates and patches. and the list of items isnt enough to harm their sales, so.... im betting the corporate whales will shrug it off. perhaps someone will prove me wrong lol

To Cranium, it sounds like your controller is going out bro. if you are having trouble keeping off the melee, then the action in the R3 button is toast, from what it sounds like, and you have no resistance left. try clicking it down in the straight position. see if it clicks nice and loud. if its just a little movement with hardly any real "click" then your controller is shot.

One other thing id like to mention, is the adaptation of grenades. with all the buttons being assigned to very important tasks, this could be hard to solve. But id like to suggest using L1 (aim) + X or O or whatever face button (X and O have no real functionality when L1 is depressed) to act as a total fire combo. I think having to press triangle twice makes for very sloppy combat, and very slow. grenades should be a very fast paced action. I say, hold L1, press and hold O to pull the pin and cook, then release O to throw. Or, if refabricating that entire process is too much, switch the selection process to L1 + O to bring up the grenades, then use as normal. but the double triangle just isnt reliable, and i know because of this system I hardly ever use grenades. Its cost me more lives than its won me in points. no doubt.

edited to add: also, remove "aim assist" from the multiplayer options..... period... too many people rely on that for easy kills and it shouldnt be available for online play. or perhaps like what was done with the "new recruits" section. disable it after lvl 10.

Fix the AI path-finding in single player so they don't get stuck against walls or on obstacles and this will be one of the best single player experiences ever.

Pistol power seems pretty solid. i can kill ppl most the time with just a few shots. any more powerful and i think the pistol would become the uber wep lol. but yea, framerate drops are nuts. the "ceph" beam lags a little bit, but i think the air support with the multi grenade showers do more lag damage than the beam. as for why one guy is green with everyone else being yellow, thats just part of the territory with a P2P server system. the one guy with green is the host. everyone else connects to him. host always has best lag. but yellow isnt bad. as long as you have around half your bars, your lag is sufficient enough to play. kill cams are wack tho. most times the kill cam shows dude not even aiming at you, but somehow striking a 1 hitter. i think there are a lot of delays in the game, but i dont think they are lag related. I think they are game related and it needs to be patched. but word around the campfire is microsoft bought out another developer to make the game more solid on the 360 platform, so who knows.. these issues may not get fixed on ps3

hate to say it man, but i think your problem is personal lol i dont have any problem killing guys. the issue it sounds like with you is simply aim. hip fire accuracy is COMPLETE garbage... unless you are within melee range you cant fire from the hip and expect to hit anything outside of pure luck. aim for the head, and exercise your trigger discipline in using bursts of fire rather than going all out terminator style on the dudes. you will see improvements. Because my experience has been that of guns killing people TOO easily. the 1 and 2 shot deaths ive been victim of are just absurd. Now, I dont know if its just a glitchy part of the game... but it seems like ppl get a lot of cheap kills. perhaps its the sound issues that i only hear one "thud" from a bullet with no sound from a gun that fired it, then im face down in the dirt. but yea. the game is pretty well balanced. if you like rock & roll shooting, try the FELINE. its a great little gun. but you probably wont make good use of it till you get the extended magazine.

now that i think about it, playing right now and im listening specifically to the sounds, mostly the SCAR, and i think i know why they "may" have dumbed down the volume on other guns. Truth is, if you think about it, the sounds for the weps are seriously sub par. Very electronic and plain. They sound kind of cool in an "arcade-ish" sort of way, but nothing like a real weapon. No real dynamic echoes, no realistic "pop" like real weapons have.. its more that "move cinema" style buzz saw machine gun you see in sci fi flicks. For some reason the SCAR jumps out at me with the "Alien trilogy" movie assault rifles. if you remember that movie, you would probably agree. Anyways, point is, i think if those sounds were all at even volume, the player would be overwhelmed with a rather nasty sounding barrage of cheap gunfire sounds. So there is a possibility they compensated for it by giving you one gun to listen to. because chances are if that many people are fighting around you, so are you.. lol hopefully someone staff wise can chime in and shed some light on these things. for me the sound really kills the game for me. one of the reasons i fell in love with bad company 2 was the sound realism. the sound alone makes all the difference. in a world where every FPS in the world has a SCAR variant, how they sound between the games will make the difference in overall enjoyability.

I just started playing today and the campaign great and the Multiplayer's ok. I only have one issue... IT'S THE FREAKING LAGGGG! I'm only at 1-2 bars and I hate watching the killcams cause you can clearly see the 1-2 second lag. Other than that I haven't really found any problems. Some minor problems like the graphics issue, you'll sometimes see random stuff floating like the gunshot holes supposedly on a crate but it's somewhere between it and the wall. Not really a real problem though. Oh and I'm also really pissed off about my flippin redeem code, I just got my Limited Edition and I tried the redeem code like 5 times and it just keeps saying it's invalid or expired.

Well.. After countless hours last night I was finally able to get the multiplayer to work!

I also ordered a new modem.. Let's hope that helps.

At the guy who quoted my comment about the Score Buttons;

I only made a reference to COD because, let's face it, if you've played COD before, you mash Square when you die. My only issue with the score board is the fact that if you do die and mash Square it brings up your profile card, which laggs your game and system. I didn't say 'Change it so it's just like COD' Only asked for a simple button change or a disable option. It's even annoying when you check the scores and try reloading.

The pistol is fine for me. The rest are a problem, I notice framerate drops with the orbital strike and the Sniper Scope seems to make everything choppy when viewing with it (makes more difficult when the targets are moving). Music when waiting for the game to start sounds like a distorted mess, like it is continually clipping. Also I've had the sound completely cut out on me once.

There needs to be a stickied bug issues forum so the developers can see what needs to be prioritised in the next patch and what issues they need to address. It's a bit unorganised having all these individual threads.

yeah i know what you mean, when you get used to a layout its nice to have something be familiar with it. but its just one of those things where you gotta adapt. I doubt they will change that. For instance, ive never had the problem. when i bring up the scores, i bring up the scores and then exit. if someones yammering ill mute em. but thats it. i never spend too much time there.
