Using shouts in public places like bars or using whirlwind rush to move through the streets will cause couriers to be dispatched to tell you about word walls.

I used unrelenting force in a bar once. Lets just say the patrons were not to happy with me and decided to attack lol. Then the guards come in and tell me I committed a crime. I'm the dragonborn dammit!

Yeah, I've made that mistake. That's why whirlwind sprint might be a better idea :P

In their own environment, Mudcrabs are the dominant predator. I've seen:
  • A mudcrab kill two wolves.
  • Two giant mudcrabs kill a sabercat.
  • A mudcrab kill a slaughterfish.
  • Mudcrabs hunting elk and deer.
  • Mudcrabs attacking (and in some cases killing) bandits.
  • Three mudcrabs kill an Imperial patrol.

a) The last point is embarrassing. My char is alligned with the Imperial side of the civil war, and it's like... I'm fighting for these guys? They can't kill a mudcrab!
b ) There's a book on troll hunting. There ought to be one on mudcrab hunting!

If you sneak you can kill draugh with one shot or backstab without waking them! Its pretty easy to spot which ones will awake if you make a noise so just shoot them.
You can turn torches off this helps a lot when sneaking .. just walk towards a torch and press e. Torch will go out or eventually get in your pocket.

I've been killed more often by (groups of) mudcrabs than by wolves, bears, or sabercats. Unlike those other predators, they are often present in groups of 6 or more, and they rarely split up.

I use to kill mudcrabs with a amulet of regeneration and my FISTS.. It solves the problem. O_o I play on Expert.

Things you should know:

1 - dragons sleep at night and some sleeps on the ground. You can sneak attack 'em with a dagger and kill in one shot.
2 - There are kill animations for ALL your enemies. In a variation of 1 to 3 different attacks. (type help killmove 0 in console and you'll see the list)
3 - If you use console to change your race to dragonrace, your shouts will have a unique dragon voice (yol toor shul, for instance).
4 - you can player.setrace to ANY creature in the game. Just type it's common name. Ex.: setrace dremora, setrace falmer, setrace dwarvencenturion, setrace dwarvensphere, setrace dragon/dragonrace, setrace wolf, setrace (...)

5 - If one of the Hired Tugs dies before get to you, the other hired tugs won't attack you unless you attack them first.

Whirlwind allows you to cross open pits and spans between raised bridges. For the span you cross using whirlwind you will not drop until whirlwind is over and only if at that point there is nothing over you.

There are some places with treasure in the game that this is the only way to access it.

I had no idea. Good to know.

You do NOT need to use the same element on them. at least I dont.
hit them all with the flames spell, or sparks, or frostbite, doesnt matter.
unless theyre technically below ground level, then theres a problem

If you murder Sven in Riverwood, either Faendal or Camilla will send you a letter of thanks.

Lost Prospect mine isn't actually a lost prospect... Though you may need Whirlwind Sprint to get where you need to go (and an item or two to stand on)
Kind of sad really if you read the miner's journal.

If you're not putting perks into lockpicking, you can give some picks to your companion and ask them to do it.

You don't get any experience but it's faster and saves on lockpicks. I had Lydia open a master lock and she only lost one pick.

There is an invisible chest left of the smelter and in front of the mine entrance in Dawnstar. Looking from the mine entrance towards the water, there are 2 little trees to the right close to the mountain side. Go to the tree closest to the mine, crouch and search the 1 rock out of the 3 closest the the tree. (This is hard to explain, easy to do) and it is linked with the traveling Khajiit Caravan. To resupply this chest, find the caravan about buying something, speak to the merchant of the caravan, then check it again, if it does not restock, find the merchant, wait 48 hours, speak to him about buying something, and the check the chest, it should be restocked.

When you want to quickly tell your companion what to do, just hold the "talk" button on her/him. :D

Can someone explain this to me because either my game is bugged or I'm somehow doing this wrong. I walk up to Aela, hold down the A button for "talk" (I'm on Xbox) and nothing happens. The option to have her go pick something up or attack or wait here never appears she just looks at me blankly. I've heard this tip multiple times and it sounds awesome, I would really like to use it.

- As dragonslayers, Giants >>> the Dragonborn. I have seen the two-hit-kill weaker dragons.

- Random flying objects can hurt people. (I like to run across set tables and kick the contents all over the place. I hit a pot through the air towards the door just as an NPC was coming in and she shout as if she had been hit by an arrow with a "Hey! Watch it!" in there.)
--- Which leads me to want to try dropping heavy objects on people from a height if I can. I wonder if that would cause you to gain a bounty? Has anyone tried it?

- I've seen wagons mentioned a few times. Do not mess with them without saving first! You can kill some tough baddies by shoving a wagon into them.

- You can find a mammoth frozen into a glacier near Saarthal and the Tower Stone. It's stuck full of prehistoric looking spears too...interesting find.

I love the way NPCs react to other NPCs. I was sneaking around in the Jarl's Quarters in Whiterun at nighttime and one of the kids walked around for hours talking to this patrolling guard and telling him over and over "You need to leave." It was hilarious.

You can ignite gas leaks just by holding a fire spell in your hands.

Did you know that the only thing on the roof of the Temple of Dibella in Markarth is a single Juniper plant?
