If you dismount your horse while in water, and re mount it, you can gallop on top of water :)

Unless that was patched, haven't tried since.

torches last for hundreds of years in a dank wet cave only 3 minutes in your hand :tops:

Funny. When using a torch put it away right before you think it will out you will be able to use that same torch the whole game. It must reset a timer or something by putting it away.

If you want a ton of torches just find a cave the. The nearest door an keep going back and forth and the torches will keep reappearing.

When buying a house be sure to be near a chest or dresser(anything you can put stuff in). What you do is purchase what you want then very quickly exit dialogue and put all your money in a chest then you'll recieve your house or upgrade and then be able to get your money out if the chest.

You can enchant item to make them extremely valuable to sell. Enchantments with health are some of the most valuable.

Being a vampire svcks.

Faendal the archer will come to Whiterun looking for Camilla if you marry her. Eventually she will ask you to kill him and pay you for it.

You can get drunk, blackout and get married.

All the best quests are side quests.

You can go shipwreck hunting in the sea of ghosts.

Last but not least and I can't believe I missed this.

If you go back to the area where you were going to be executed you will find a house with a mother or father holding child, both are burnt to crisp.

-Shouting FUS at bugs will blow their wings/thoraxes off. It can also trigger runes, pressure plates, etc.

-Stray dogs can kill off entire wolf packs by themselves.

-You can use a torch to block
-Bashing with a torch sets your enemy on fire. Highly effective against Trolls and Spriggans...just sayin.

Certain NPCs will start a small conversation with you if you cast a spell near them.

When a lockpick breaks it will fall in the direction of the sweet spot.
Rich NPCs usually carry enchanted jewelry, even at lower levels. Pickpocketing Jarls/Stewards/Barons is a good way to get some decent enchanted gear earlier on, to wear or disenchant.

Drag bodies into water with waterfalls and watch them go down.

Put pots on peoples heads.

Zoom in and out in 3rd person by pushing down on the right anolog stick and moving the left one up and down.

talk to people naked and they will say something about it.

drop something in front of people and some will ask can they have it and some will return it.

you can stop your pulled bow by pushing the sheath button.

if you have your woodcutting axe equipped when you chop wood it will show two axes.

you can tell your follower to sleep.

In the under-keep quest in Markarth, when you have to find all the journals use a shout and later on after the quest is completed you will get a letter from a friend saying he heard you used the shout in the under keep and give you a quest, I can't remember all the details.

In one of the taverns I used magic for a while and a kid came up to me and asked me to make him invisible, but I didn't have the spell (don't know if you can make somebody else invisible).

treasure from treasure maps won't be there until you have the map.

The Thieves guild quest when you poison the Honning brew mead the owner has a bottle of Black Briar mead (his rival) under his bed.

You can get a hooded Mythic Dawn robe by putting all the Mythic Dawn clothes on the mannequin in the house in Markarth, then leave and come back, but I think it has to be the first thing you put on it.

The sword Dawnbreaker glows bright whenever undead (including Vampires) are near.

I think it glows more brightly when any enemy is near. I don't have the sword yet, I seen the undead thing in a guide.

Those huge stone slabs circle slabs you see all over Skyrim, usually out in the wilderness actually have dragons trapped in them and they slowly open to release them.

If you become a stage four vampire you can feed of your follower and they won't take offense to it.

Manmoths are the best thing to kill to fill up the biggest soul gem besides black gem

Speaking of soul gems. You can do a quest that gives you access to a black gem that is unbreakable.

This is one of my favorites because it's so funny. You can recieve a staff that has the power to change enemy's into things like rabbits and sweetrolls. If you haven't received it yet I advise you go find it now. It's so fun. You can actually change lydia into a sweetroll and eat her. Lol. It's my favorite weapon in the entire game.

There is a special axe that I guess cuts wood faster. I actually saw it once at the very start of the game. I did not pick it up because I had just started the game and I thought I'd see a ton more of these later. I never did and now I forget where I found this.

This might have been mentioned before in this thread, but you can kill draugr and skeletons before they even wake up. You can see which draugr will awake by them having a slightly different colour/texture than the others. You can shoot an arrow in them and they will "fall" and die before even waking up from their tomb. Same with sitting skeletons.

Here is a good one I use all the time.

This trick comes in handy the entire game but mainly during the lower levels. For console users we only has tr left and right directional for hotkeys. What I found early on is I'd you put a health potion on one of them it avoids popping into the menu for health. Just press the button and you have health. Works just as good with magic or any type of potion you use alot. Just make sure you haw plenty of that exact potion stocked up.

Some people complain because of having to go into the menu then going to the map. If you press circle and down at the same time very quickly(circle just a little quicker) the map pops right up basically bypassing the menu screen. Same thing with the other menu tabs. Just hit circle and the directional. Ps3 of course.

Throughout skyrim you will find maps with flags on them. Click the flag and that location will update to your map.

All these things I didn't know at first but stumbles across them during gameplay.

No. Friggin'. Way. :blush2:
Does it have a name?

I don't really dabble in magic too much, but that might change if this is true.
