Neat little things you may not have known.

You can pick up bear traps.

You can move an item on the loading screen faster by pressing both thumbsticks in the same direction.

I've reset and sprung them, but haven't picked one up yet. That would be handy to place them at the entry of a narrow passage - once the game becomes playable for me. Crossing fingers with the 1.3 patch.

So, theoretically, I could move these all to the Whiterun commons and watch people trip over themselves to be the ones to die at the traps' teeth?

Fantastic.

You couldn't get them into your inventory though.

Suddenly I feel the need to try and use telekinesis to throw loaded bear traps at people...

Edit: It totally works. I just killed a couple Forsworn with nothing but Telekinesis and a Bear Trap (you can activate the bear trap while holding it with Telekinesis).

  • Some Dragons sleep at night, curled up on the ground.
  • Spriggans will slave nearby animals to fight you with increased strengh/speed and detection abilities.
  • Giants buy cattle (ok not really but they do trade for them)
  • there are atleast 7 pitfall traps in Skyrim in various ruin types for various reasons.
  • Khajiit Traders Travel in real time from place to place, and don't just randomly spawn at their locations, they can lose followers.
  • Markarth....is not all it seems...her inhabitants I mean.
  • There is a spell called Bound Arrow that lets you shoot arrows out of your Hands....
  • Dragons are very good at Tracking you, even if your using an invisibility Potion.
  • Taking shelter into a Wilderness Building will make Dragons wait outside patiently.
  • the Hanging Bones are Alarms, do not trigger them.
  • Firing arrows at a wall near enemies will distract them, allowing you to move past if needed.
  • Skyrim is ****ing awesome.

This stuff is awesome, and yet it mostly goes unnoticed. Another reason to depise the spoon feeding comments.

It's a shame the traps aren't WAY deadlier.

Picturing this in my mind is simply hilarious.

-Dropping dragon bones creates a loud thud. Picking them up and hitting crap with them does the same thing.
-Chasing creatures into strong river currents can result in hilarious moments near waterfalls.
-You can trigger traps by throwing crap into them.

Not as good as some. All I got for now.

Did not know that, thanks OP. Another important tip is that you can use Whirlwind sprint to clear distances or gaps, like a missing part of a bridge, across a fast river, etc. as long as you are level with the other side.

Even moving the loading screens with two thumbsticks for some reason it just drives me crazy you can't turn them faster. Haha weird I know

When you want to quickly tell your companion what to do, just hold the "talk" button on her/him. :D
