Things you would like to see in Skyrim.

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 12:03 am

There has probably someone that has posted a topic like this one already.. but I didn't feel like searching through the entire forum to find it.. :whistling:

We all have thing we would like to find in TES:5 that we only could get through mods in the previous TES games (or that just wasn't there in some..) and some things that you just couldn't do at all.

The poll I have made only cover a few things, if you know any other things that you would like to see in Skyrim.. let us know

I myself would love to see some nice cloaks in Skyrim..( I love cloaks ^_^ )

Quest-related entries in the journal are nice but sometimes I would like to write my own entries in it like.. as an example
"3rd of Heartseed. As I made my way across a mountain-pass not far from the Cyrodiil border I found myself in the middle of a snowblizzard. As I struggled with moving forward towards the nearest town I soon discovered I wasn't alone.."

I would certainly would like to have more of a challenge in finding "lost sites" in Skyrim then what I had in Oblivion.. half the fun is the time you have to spend FINDING those places.. at least that is what I think. ^_^

You should quickly change the poll so we can vote for multiple answers for question 1.

I would like multiple clothing slots, starting with choice of underware(long woolen undies for the cold), shirt, pants or skirt, piecemeal armor and an accoutrement layer.

Yes to all the clothing options
I would absolutely love it if the player could add to the journal.
I'd still like to be alerted to nearby ruins/sites, but maybe not from so far away. In Oblivion I was always getting sidetracked from my quest because I'd see something pop up and have to go check it out. It was fun for me.

After completing a lengthy/difficult quest,I would like the quest giver to offer me a few really good choices of reward. Not just give me what he/she thinks will suffice.
I would like to make a pretty tough decision on which reward im choosing, since I can only choose one.Not to mention the next character I use will have the option of choosing one of the rewards I neglected the first time around.

User notes would be good, and I'd prefer the compass show the general location of a town or area when told about it or when discovered. For NPC's though... I'd rather the compass show only the last known city, building, or location that they were staying at, and not be a realtime GPS pointing to them as they wander around.

http://www.jelldragon.com/keys.htm

"VIKING KEYS
No Viking woman's costume is complete without a set of keys! In Viking times it was the woman of the household who kept all the keys, these keys would be prominently displayed on her costume showing her status as head of the household."

This might not mean much for the guys, but very important for the women.

I am hopeful for winter clothing, for adventuring in the cold elements, town clothes for daily wear, and perhaps something to wear in a local pub.

I would like to sit at a table, and if it is cold, one close to the fire, have a drink, and engage in social activities, while bards entertain us with stories and song.

I am trusting that appropriate armor, cloaks and robes will be included, as well as some of the town clothes. However, I do NOT want non-removable fur diapers.

Lol, for some reason, I read that as "leg and meat fetishes".

I'd like hats:
Tophats
Sombreros
Witch-hunter Hats
Those Russian Fur Hats

As well as Coats, Cloaks, Boots, etc.

Also, you should be able to write in your Journal and it should appear like a book (similar to Morrowind).

Just remembered one thing more I would like to have in Skyrim.. BETTER LOOKING MAGICAL STAFFS!!

Seriously, the staffs in Oblivion looked ridiculous.. sure the Goblin Shaman Staffs look nice but they looked also like they had been made by goblins.. the rest looked just like a simple chopped of branch from some tree.. I missed the staffs from Morrowind, they had more variety of style..
