I think Bethesda made an oops.

I see 8 green points on the helmet
Spiders usually have eight eyes
Coincidence? I think not.

This.

I think it's a new type of creature, perhaps some sort of humanoid spider.

Dunmer? Argonian? Lol it's skin is all wrong for both of those. The armor seems too advanced to be worn by a goblin; it may be Daedric like Luke Skyrimmer said. In that case, I'd have to definitely say it's a scamp because it has pale brown skin, devilish protrusions coming out of it's body, and pointed ears. If not, it's a new creature called a "Spider Hero" that we'll likely find in the depths of Giant Spider dungeons.

"Spider hero" is referring to the spider screenshot we've already seen. Bethesda had just misplaced this concept art.

Yep, for me those mammalian, furry ears mean that it's no Argonian. Those ears, with one pointing up and one wilting downwards, are amazing. I'm gonna go out and say it: Wood Elf.

Wood Elves have multiple green eyes?

Look at its supposed mouth, its an odd shape like it has 3 flaps or something or its svcking on one hell of a sour ball causing it lips to pucker out of control.

I don't think it's a scamp because scamp skin is greener.

Idk bro...why would all the press members just leave this creature specifically out of there previews from the demo??is it that important? I heard no mention of a spider hero...however we did all hear about a dragon preist...maybe this is it? Dragon priest sounds slightly deadric

Hmm, odd. It does have what looks like four green eyes on each side of it's helmet... then I guess I retract that last comment in my post.

It's a light tan/brown.

this is actually far more exciting than if Bethesda just released this screenshot in a regular method.

They should do this all the time ;-)

(Or maybe they just did...hmmm)

Interestingly enough, they are now listing all the big shot coverage under the news section. That would indicate they're ready to release thís week's screenshots on the official site. The oops ocurred during that process, no?

Obviously a helmet.

I don't think so.

Could just be the darker part is patched leather or some kind of armour with multiple eyeholes.

Looking at the source code of the webpage, it looks like the thumb element is missing for that screen. It could just be some sort of placeholder image

It looks like he has a freaking lobster on his face.

Do you see the two "claws" pointing downwards?

Maybe the Dragon Priests are infected with some kind of lobster face-parasite

It looks awesome, whatever it is. :)

Probably some small boss, like a Goblin Warlord.

I think its a creature that has some kind of armour made from spiders or in the resemblance of spiders. Or its just some freaky spider beast hybrid.

It very much appears to me that it is a humonoid creature wearing a crazy mask with glowing green eyes. I may be wrong, but to me it looks more like the guy's wearing a helmet, as opposed to that thing being a part of his face. I think that it could very well be one of the elf races. And that would be exciting, if the races were capable of looking so wild and disheveled.

It appears to be a goblin in sweet armor.
Riding a spider, most likely.

If that is the case, it beats the hell out of Nocturnal's Cowl.
