Im still sticking with the Spider Hero guy ( http://www.elderscrolls.com/skyrim/media/ ) being a dark elf.. his skin looks a greyish dark to me zoomed in..
but i guess the mouth doesnt look right to be a dark elf.
Then it couldnt be a wood elf, either.

I say its a helmet for reasons:

- The other picture that some seem to say is the same creature, is obviously not wearing it.
-On the actual armored picture, there is a strap on his right side (the side that is no armored), and the armor on his body is corresponding to the helmet.
-more straps on the arms.

It has to be a wood elf, at least I think so. It has the pointed ears of a Wood Elf and that is definitely armor. You can see the bottom bits of the helm (the 2 sharp points under the mouth are in no way attached to the skin and you can see straps on the arm for what appears to be a gauntlet

Indeed! The pointy ears, the white hair... the wizened skin suggests necromancy used... That would make sense for the Falmer to turn to magic for the survival of their race.

However I still have the page open with the thumbnail there, and the url says ".../skyrim/media/screenshots/spider-hero/"..?

What could spider hero mean? A high level of spider Daedra?
