There isn't any red zoomed in, in fact there is some green that look like spider eye kinda things.

If it wasn't for the ears I wouldn't think they were the same thing. Even in the enlarged version of the thumbnail it isn't clear whether the guy/creature/thing in the mask has a real nose or just nostrils.

But those ears are ... Unique.

Of course it could just be the way the artist draws pointy ears.

No, but their facial structure (mouth, nose, ears) and color are just about identical. I'd say that them being the same is a safe bet.

I'm quite curious as to why we seem to be guessing what that actual picture is, as though it's really depicting an in-game screenshot. It doesn't look anything like a video game, it's definitely not a screenshot. I'm assuming it was put there completely by mistake. It looks too fancy to be concept art.

My guess is that it's nothing in relation to Skyrim.

It looks like maybe a skeleton where the nose part has come off due to age. This would add weight to the lich theory.

Don't know about that. I think it looks a lot like the concept art they already put out. Though it is really hard to tell since it's just a thumbnail.

When did they release that first image anyway? If it's old, the design might have changed.

Orcs were originally mer and they have a rather odd nose. Maybe the Falmer went through some sort of corruption as well.

I'm in the midst of making mac & cheese and it's going horribly, horribly wrong because of this.

It's Mac and Cheese, Dan. What could go wrong? Boil water, add noodles, could for eight minutes, mix package of processed cheese with milk and butter.

It looks like concept art to me (scaled down, which makes it look much more rendered), and its included in a folder with 3 http://elderscrolls.com/assets/images/to_delete/media/thumb3.png http://elderscrolls.com/assets/images/to_delete/media/thumb4.png that are http://elderscrolls.com/assets/images/to_delete/media/thumb5.png Skyrim concept art. So unless they randomly include random images in their folders, its Skyrim concept art.

I'm going to say no to this. It doesn't look a thing like http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:TR_Creature_RadacStungnthumz.jpg, and his armor doesn't match the theme of past game's Dwemer armor at all.

If he was a Dwemer he'd have a beard. Though maybe that'd be too obvious a hint.

I agree. Why would they even bother to throw an image that isn't related to Skyrim on the Skyrim site? I doubt they are just screwing with us, and there are dozens of better places to put an image.
