Think I Can Run It?

Another things to consider as well

Steam: New Vegas PC requires Steam (both Digi-distro & disc versions) for activation & patching this also means that if you install & activate it, it wouldn't do any good to sell it if it doesn't work & who ever bought it from you wouldn't be able to use it. & if you have a slow connection speed this might not be the best game for you especially if you're not sure it will even work.

Some people used a modified .dll file to play FO3 on an Intel integrated chipset. But the fact is that, even if you got the game to even start correctly on that chipset, it will look terrible and play very slowly. That laptop is just not made for games. (And I see you got that information from Canyourunit.com, that site is not very accurate)

One comment to make, It runs Oblivion very smooth at 1366 x 768 resolution, no antialiasing, distant buildings, and with Bloom Screen Effects.

Oblivion had lower requirements then FO3. (I am not entirely sure if FONV requires shader 2.0 or 2.0b to run, since FO3 needed 2.0b). But even so, the requirements are still a bit higher then Oblivion.

Any other games that require most of the same things?

I can run my game with my old laptop, core2duo 2.53ghz and nvidia 105m. Games like fallout3 and new Vegas should be played in pc. Console versions don't allow awesome mods.

This is more powerful then an Intel integrated chipset though.

The Intel HD chipset he's using is not your grandpa's gma500. It should support shader 4.0.

That said, it's still and will always be a far cry from a proper gaming card, in a laptop or desktop.

All I can say is.. I still think it will probably run it, and be playable*. You won't be able to do much else while you're
playing, but you should be able to play it. No multitasking. ;p

And yep, you won't be able to sell it due to steam account requirements. Buy at your own risk or wait for
the price to drop.

*edit: On REDUCED settings.
