I hadn't seen this trailer yet. I probably haven't seen a lot of trailers yet. But this game looks AWESOME.

He probably bases it on that ''rioteers'' and those mobs use molotovs during demonstrations and stuff, you usually don't see cops do that

But, it's a weapon, so anyone should be able to use it

Obviously for the reason Schwarzeis pointed out.

Security/Police forces would use teargas instead.

True but I think the time for teargas is over. Besides if the Resistance can steal Security weapons you would think that the Security would raid Resistance stockpiles.

Or Security could kust use some sort of incendiary grenade that acts like a Molotov.

but a inciendiary grenade explodes and releases a more gas kind of fire, and does it after a few seconds when the pin is removed, molotovs are basicly flamable fluid in a bottle with a cloth soaked with the fluid and keeping it in the bottle, after the cloth is lit on fire and thrown, the glass breaks thus the fire ignites the fluid and having a more fire effect. the burning gas and the molotov would have a smaller AOE so it would not work at all in terms of being balanced, but if they were both two seperate weapons available to both factions it could work.

And an old, rusty, jury-rigged rifle wouldn't be nearly as accurate as a brand new, well-maintained one. But for the sake of balence, they have the same stats. I see no reason why security couldn't have incendiary grenades for visual appeal in the same way.

yes but there two diffrent things, basicly one sets you on fire and the other burns your entire body and if inhaled, your lungs, throat, mouth and so on and can effect mutiple people around while active in the air.

In real life yes. But it's like Shadow said. Even though it works different, they give it the same stats for balancing reasons.

sure they can do that with firey explosives but they dont really feel the same, molotovs explode on impact and inciendiary grenades release a gas and dont necessarily explode, mabey they can just use there own kind of inciendiary grenades that act exactly like a molotov

Same range, same amount of damage, but instead of fire a green gas? Something like that seems reasonable.

Or just fire grenades. I'm good with fire grenades and molotovs, but same stats for balance.

Probably white phosphorus grenades. They are real, and do about the same thing as a Molotov. IRL they are much better, but this is a game.
