I think i know which character from Fallout 3 will be in a D

Hi again. We have known for some time now from various sources i will post links as soon as possible, that a personality from Fallout 3 will feature in on of the New Vegas DLC's

The character i suspect will be in a DLC is Desmond Lockheart from Point Lookout. There's a few reasons Although he can be killed this doesn't matter you could have killed Tandi in Fallout 1 but the developers choose the canon so she lived in the canon fallout and became the President of the New California Republic in Fallout 2.The same points can go for any character in Fallout 3 it doesn't matter if you killed a character its up to the devs to decide if they lived or died.So back to my theory in Point Lookout Desmond was searching for Calvert his rival but more importantly Desmond wanted Calvert's advanced technology which he claimed calvert stole from him.So if i where to guess i say he will appear in the Old World Blues DLC which is set in the Big empty as is supposed to have outstanding technology Desmond being a tough son of b''''''''''ch , could well have made the journey to the Big empty in search of another rival this being Odysseus who was a made AI meant to appear in Van Buren who controlled the big empty but obsidian may have retconed Odysseus to be an AI with the brain patterns of a person desmond knew.So once desmond arrived at the big empty it locked him in and once the courier arrived it locks the courier in as well the courier then will have to help desmond and him/her self to escape while searching for clues about Ulysses who was at the big empty prior to Dead Money.

It'd be pretty annoying if it was a character who was added to F3 through a DLC. None of them had any relevance to the Capital Wasteland, or relationship with the Lone Wanderer.

I'd rather it be Fawkes, who was very helpful, and practically impossible to kill.

There have been threads discussing this before, and Desmond is one of the names that have come up, as well as The Lone wanderer, Elder Lyons, and even some of the Outcasts.

Not that I have a problem with Desmond, (he provided me with some very nice weapons after he got shot in the head), but I agree with the above post in that it would make more sense to have someone from the Capitol Wasteland to re- appear.

that's assuming any of this is actually true. Until I hear otherwise it's just idle rumors...just the same as the supposed release date for Honest Hearts is next month.

I personally thought it may be Harold (I know hes a FEV tree mutant thing) because hes shown up in every fallout so far. Maybe one of his spores got carried by the wind or something and due to him gaining better controls of his ability to sense things through his trees can communicate with the courier. (obviously the only choice in fallout 3 that would allow this is Laurels liniment).

The source that a character from Fallout 3 seems to be complete crap. Also, Desmond says he's "going North to pursue another rival". Do you know what's North? The Commonwealth. That's a fitting place for a century+ year old rival, no? It's likely he'll play a role in Fallout 4, possibly as a main person to side with. There's no way that he could have taken care of that rival and then come west across the majority of the country (and he doesn't even have gear like the brotherhood do) in 4 years and still consider it decent writing.
