I think Skyrim gives value for money

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 1:52 am

I just looked at the time played on my three characters and it adds up to 210 hours. What is more, I have only barely started the main quest, and only done a little bit of the civil war quest with one character.

My brain feels rather fried, and I think I am playing Skyrim most of the night in my dreams. This is already more playtime than most RPGs when they are completed.

How are you guys doing?

I've probably played Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim together more than I've played...every other game combined.

200? Man, RELAX. I know you love this game but if I know one reason why people are suddenly bored or burned out on Skyrim is that they do nothing else. Still, it's worth my €50,- indeed. I love it.

It does give very good value for money indeed. I bought skyrim and MW3 at the same time and have put 109 hours into skyrim and 12 hours into MW3.

It's safe to say you've gotten your monies worth... Me too

I still haven't touched the main quest and a lot of the faction quests as well. Just taking my time.

The reason many people become bored of Skyrim is that they play too much at once. It's like eating 2 gallons of ice cream in one serving.

Yes, it has been quite intense. I am past save-game 1000 already. I think I will take a few days off and let the neurons recharge. All three characters are at the "fleshed out" stage where the playstyle is functioning as intended. I tend to work quite hard to get characters up to that point. But they each play so differently, it is like having three games in one. I haven't been reading the forums because there are still way too many spoilers (and also... 200 hours...) but whatever people are saying about magic, the pure mage is the most flexible and tactical. The game is a little buggy, but that is inevitable with this much content. I obviously don't have many complaints.

about 206 hours now on my first and only character. On most RPGs, I am averaging about 50-60 per character. Ex. I easily have put 50hrs into each Mass Effect 1 and 2 character I have created. I can't believe that I may exceed my total playing time on other games with just this first playthrough. Game still feels fresh to me. Heck, today, I discovered something new in Whiterun, the place I have lived since the beginning.

Soon when CK comes out, new things will be created that will make Skyrim even bigger!

Fallout and TES are the ONLY games that i would value a lot more than their price and with the CK and a lot of mods the hours i spent on them were tripled.

I've definitely gotten my money's worth. 120 hours in, and I'm not even close to finishing the main storyline, and I've been thinking about things I'd change about a 2nd playthrough. Such a great gaming experience.
