I'm hopeful we will. Given Beth's professed confidence in the game one would hope they wouldn't implement some silly release day review embargo. Might some lucky reviewers be playing the game already?

They'll probably hold everyone under NDA until the last 48 hours or so. That way if a chunk of them hate the game, there's no way they'll influence purchases.

I hope so, media outlets got review copies of Skyrim like 2-3 weeks before release, if memory serves me correctly.

Yep, no reviews until the 9th and obviously just by evidence of some unboxing videos that have cropped up many reviewers are playing the game right now.

Thanks, I had not seen that. Damn I was kinda hoping for a Witcher 3 situation--there were 10/10 reviews out a week before release. Of course that made the final days of waiting that much harder.

I remember before FO3 came out I had read an article in game informer magazine, or what ever, where the writer got their hands on fallout 3 no less than 3 months before the game came out. I remember because I read it in the summer I was vacationing in hawaii. They've really been cutting this one insanely close. Even so I feel like there is more hype than there was for skyrim, so maybe they don't really need to advertise as heavily.
