I think TES VI is looks cooler if it's in eastern culture

Post » Sat Oct 27, 2012 9:02 am

I got this idea when I remember playing battle realms. it's similar to Warcraft but it's eastern(like Chinese,Japanese or Korean culture) and comparing the two games battle realms is more awesome, so COOL! the combat i so damn cool when it is eastern and the soundtrack is pure eastern. So I I've been thinking what if the TES vi sets in eastern continent with eastern culture that would be awesome! western culture doesn't appeal much and eastern is super cool. Also I read the idea page for TES vi that it might sets in eastern continent called akavir so it might be true

Beth wont be leaving Tamriel for a while. I imagine TES VI will be in Hammerfell or Valenwood.

Ugh, no. I don't mind the eastern art style in moderation, but when it's too much I can't stand it. That's the reason I can't finish leveling. In MOP.

I personally dont like eastern architecture music or cultural influence in video games. Personally I just try to stay away from games that are supremely eastern in style just cause it doesnt appeal to me. The Akaviri only have weapons/armor style from eastern culture(as far as we know) so beth would have to really flesh out their society. I don't think its fair to say "western culture is unappealing", maybe to you but any elder scrolls and for that matter dnd fan or any other western rpg fan would beg to differ.

Cyrodiil used to have rice paddies, and more Asian (as well as Mesoamerican) influence back when it was cool. It was very vague influence, however.

Eastern influences? Sure. Direct copy paste? Hell no. Then again I would prefer the Nords to be less...Norse. At least aesthetically. They do not have much in common culturally as it is.

I want to see a game set in Black Marsh, Elsweyr, Summerset Isle or Valenwood. I would love another set in Morrowind. If only because I am sick of the Human Provinces and they have all been visited in detail at some point already. Though I would not mind terribly if there was a game set in Hammerfell.

Also this.

Hammerfell. What can I say? I'm a svcker for the 1001 Nights. it's foreign enough to be exotic (Moorish/Middle Eastern influenced) yet still in a human province so as to not be too alienating for casuals.
