Think there'll be some super rare enemies in the game?

It would be pretty cool to have been playing for 20 hours and be crossing some lands you're already well familiar with, and seeing some sole mysterious monster you'd never seen before, just roaming across a mountain. Almost like an easter egg.

I'd prefer a Final Fantasy XII-esque mark hunting.

For those that haven't played FFXII, it's basically special monsters that have a bounty put on them because they are either dangerous or have affected a civilian (stolen something, injured someone). There is a hall that shows what marks are available and the further you are in the story and higher your level, the stronger the marks will be. The final mark in the game took at least 5 hours to beat, and I'd love to see something like marks and bounties in Skyrim.

Just a point regarding dragons, I don't believe they will be all that rare. I mean a whole feature of the game revolves around collecting dragon souls with which to enhance your shouts. Obviously you can't have them everywhere so you are swimming in dragon souls, but I think one can get the point I'm making here. :foodndrink:

That would be neat but knowing Bethesda they wouldnt do that.
They will probaly stick with the same formula of just giving rare creatures unique names.

I don't know, Oblivion had a few rare encounters. The one I remember was the giant slaughterfish in one of the caverns. I think there was a giant rat somewhere else.

I wish Bethesda would put in some killer monsters none of us suspect like some nasty giant centipede in a cave or a demonic yeti for TheCasualAssassin to play with. :D

Yeah ledgendary one offs of most of the natural enemys would be cool, and likly to be in considering, giant one offs in ob and fallout/nv. I want me a giant mudcrab that doesn't have the health of a normal mud crab. Lol.
Here hoping there are legendary creatures so we can track and kill them with bow, blade or bare hands, depending on how hardcoe you are of course. I'll look farward to skinning the ledgenary sabre tooth and displaying it's skull as a trophy(hopefully, we don't just get the pelt and the spleen or some other crap bit like craws...)

Actually, they have done this. While the enemy may not have been unique, there is a spot in the Grazelands in Morrowind that will sometimes spawn an extra large enemy. IIRC, they were about 3 times bigger than normal. I don't think they were any tougher.

Bethesda loves Easter Eggs and I am sure that some will be peppered through the game. Makes sense as Devs get bored coding in the wee hours of the morning. Creating Easter Eggs gives them something to do while the coffee is brewing.

Well, technically, any named enemy is by definition Rare if not unique. So yes. I also don't get the impression that dragons will be all that rare.

I'm hoping for a Gaenor type character.

Someone with absolutely nothing to do with the MQ but for some reason just wants nothing more than to smash the PC in to the ground.

This person also happens to be nearly unbeatable in single combat.

MW was wicked cool.
