Why would your hulking Nord have dainty feet?

Okay change that to "huge troglodyte feet"

Meh, don't really care but some people find it more immersive so why not.

I need to be able to see my foot kick off corpse that is attached to my axe. One of the main techniques of non blunt weapons.

No feet hurts immersion (in a tiny, tiny way). Mirror's Edge comes to mind--it was a minor touch, but I liked being able to see myself when I look down. It feels like I'm really there just a little bit more. I won't lose sleep over it, but it would be nice if they "fixed" this. I don't expect them to though.

Don't care. While it is novel to have, I've played games where you could see your character's limbs while in first person view and I've played Oblivion. I didn't find myself missing or wishing they had put that novelty into the game (Oblivion).

Edit: Weapon arms and hands were enough for me.

I would really love it if you could. Sadly though, I don't think Bethesda would do this...

But hey, 10 months (about 8 1/2 - 9 months until it goes gold) until release, maybe if we want it enough we'll get it?

it won't happen, but it'd be great, let's hope there aren't any platforming parts

I liked how in Tresspasser when you looked down you could see the bloodied shirt of the main character covering two juicy dinosaur treats  Voted no, then yes, because I don't think we will ever get this in TES, not sure why, but devs seem to hate the idea...

It's not the most important feature in the game, but nonetheless, it's always bothered me that they weren't there. You really do feel kind of like a camera, occasionally having arms when needed.

No, and I don't care. I don't plan on staring at my feet while running across the mountains.

YES! PLEASE!

Not being able to see your body in the previous TES games really killed the immersion. That's actually one of my most wanted features.

This is almost the most ridiculous post I have ever run across, I had to jump in and vote lol, I mean who cares really, will that little tidbit truly affect the game for you in even the smallest way ? I want to see myself, I go to third person hold the button down and spin the camera to see me, the only time seeing my feet as an advantage, which is why I am guessing people want it, is to get as close to edges as is possible to look down, once again going into 3rd person will do that for you also.

Immersion. Jeez. :pinch:

The Elder Scrolls is all about immersion, that's why their getting rid of the HUD.

Hope so, but it might get in the way when picking something up of the floor or when sneaking.

I never understood the desire to have a "true" first person view. Operation Flashpoint had a true 1st person view and I think I only ever saw my feet a couple times in the hundreds of hours I played the game. Why? Because I don't play games to look at my feet. Same goes for Left 4 Dead... sure I could see my feet, but it was a waste of resources because players never looked at their feet other then to say "Gee Wiz... I can see my feet, and now I'm totally over it". Seriously, its really a pointless feature.
